8. Ross

10.????

Hutch Maiava

Clifford Manua.........He's my pick.

Luke Harlen

Luke Douglas

Gallen, 80 minute metre eater. Ross, Maiava and Manua aren't capable of long stints.

I reckon they should make Stevens an offer he can't refuse, Definitely retired to early.

Agreed Stevo would be the best option but I can't see it happening:(

Stevens was approached yesterday by Raper according to reports but knocked back any plans of playing again.

This is hugely worrying and shoes our lack of "masterplan" at the club, what a knee jerk reaction !!?? if they NEEDED stevens , the time to do it with a big offer was 8 months ago, it shows we had no buying plan, or no ability to secure the players we werre in the hunt for.

8. ROSS ( needs to lift considerably on the soft, marshmellow form he's shown the past 18months to be classed a genuine first grade ,up the guts go forward man)

10. Most likely HUTCH based on this years selections....definately should be in our top 17, but a bench prop at his most effective, definately no answer to starting prop concerns

Then who ?

Bench players, that's what,

CLIFF, Harlen and DOuglas, maybe Mapp, but a backrower probably.

Thompson is a backrower if we get him.

About the shallowest front row I've seen in ANY NRL team for 10 years, very very concerning.

Our " STAR" Prop is Ben Ross.......HE was an afterthought after he was pushed out late by the panthers....Geezuz ! what would we have done but for that piece of luck !? what was our plan before the pennies dumped Ross late in the silly season ????

And Ben Ross our star ?? my goodness, he'd wanna find some grunt and form, cause on previous seasons he's one washed up show pony who commands ZERO respect from opposing packs.

Whats Paul Khann up to. The clowns might want to approach him about a comeback. Come and Join the circus, never a dull moment at Circus Woolaware.... visit the bigtop.... feed the monkeys.....

Charter boat, what charter boat............

You have a bloody good prop and you let him go.... supposedly loves the joint.

Replaced by what....... unwanted discard.

Hey these guys are too smart for me !!!!!

Charter boat, what charter boat........... lucky we're with RACQ or NRMA or did they forget to renew that.

Arrh well I guess come September we will all clap and cheer because we came a good eigth. Another token effort. Considering our player staff. Dont worry about cleaning the trophy cabinet.

Where is Rambukah......... Can someone ring Fiji..... urgently.........

Cheers

we have some players with potential - ross, hutch, cliff, stosic, harlen, selmes

i'd have more confidence in bringing out the best in them if i had more confidence in the coaching set-up. somebody is needed to step up to be the big unit consistent metre eater capable of taking us forward at least 50 minutes or more every game. got my doubts

I like the Idea of Manua as a human kamikaze for 20 mins. Hutch is a better bench prop than starter but Young Stosic and Lulu showed some potential if they can work on their agility a little.

Hutch is a changed player now. Tough as teak and willing to take on any opponent. His defence will be tough and hard. He'll be ready to assume his position as the number 1 prop for the Sharks.

Get ready Sharks fans.... the big bopper is back in town and ready to rock and roll.

well could he please get some match fitness instead of plodding around behind the play like he has cement in his boots after just 5 minutes on the field?

For the start of the season

8. Ross
9. Kingston
10. Williams
11. Thompson
12. Bailey
13. Gallen

14. Hilder
15. Maiava
16. Douglas
17. Leulaui

Douglas, Maiava as the rotated props - Hilder and Leulaui as the backrowers.

Throw Douglas into the deep end early... Stosic played NSW res but he hits the deck to early with the ball. Ciraldo is a bit thin for prop but given what we have left may have to be tried in a trial :?
