Sounds impressive. Depends what he prefers: money or proving himself in the best competition.

He has stated that he is looking at coming to the NRL but he is still contracted for next year.

The possibility that we'll have Clinton, Kenny and McGuire as our three top props in 2010 does not exciting me at all.

There were rumours of us signing Matt Scott and Ben Ross - both of these have been squashed. Where do we go from here? If we don't sign a descent prop we can kiss goodbye to final footballs against in 2010.

I'm glad they didn't get Ben Ross. Buying Ben Ross would be as stupid as buying Joel Clint.....wait. sh*t.

I'd rather we concentrate on our own talent and bring the young guys up through the ranks just like in the good old days. This is also cheaper too as we don't have to offer players big salaries to lure them away from their club.

James Graham certainly looked the goods in the World Cup and was probably the only straight up NRL standard player in their ranks.

Probably all just academic really ... how many would say goodbye to $100,000+ a season.

yep he's the one i'd go after. i guess some players do want to make a name for themselves or test themselves in the toughest league, knowing they can take a pay cut but if they go well they can write their own cheques when they go home.

of course id say it's easier for the older blokes liek gareth ellis and morley who already had some cash udner their belts before coming over.

There's some quality front rowers in the uk,nrl should cast its net in superleague,backs are way behind nrl quality but the forwards are much better

Not a bad idea. The forwards in the EPL are pretty decent.

Matt Scott signed with the Cowboys for four years. That leaves no descent props on the open market for 2010 and effectively leaves the Broncos with some serious issues. Is it just me, or are moter other teams signing quality players for next year except the Broncos?

wait for our surprise signing...
oh yeah, and we're not way under the cap next year, alot of the deals from our 08 players are backended so we could accomodate the team we had last year..we let go of ennis, hannant, stagg, eastwood and just them 4 cost a million bucks

we'll still be under the cap by a bit just not as much as people think..plus im pretty sure lockyer isnt signing his paycut contract until we sign someone gun..because then if we dont he can just stay on 500k next yr and then 250k yr after instead of 250k each year
