Fullback, hooker and wing spots in 2011.

That estimate is silly, but yep he's a bad overlist, having met him a number of times I would go with 170cm/5'7". But he's certainly not the only 1-2 inch overlist in the NRL.
So the team can exaggerate one way, but i can't exaggerate the other way? :p He might be one of those guys who wears platforms ;-) I kid, i kid.

Anyway, I think we've established that this forum doesn't like Hohaia at fullback.

All I can say is I'm pretty sure Cleary and the club do (as evident from him being on the POTY shortlist). I agree with them.

I can't believe the suggestions of Hohaia to hooker. Surely we all now know that Hohaia must NEVER be placed in a position where he plays an important role in dictating the team's attack. That rules out hooker and the halves. Forever.
Personally, i have no issue with Hohaia at fullback. I think he's competent defensively there, and i agree that he shouldn't be played anywhere near 6, 7 or 9 for extensive periods of time unless injuries force no other option. He's also been carrying hamstring and groin injuries this season, hasn't he, so i can excuse him for not charging full-tilt back at a full defensive line when kick returning. (would still love to see him hanging off the shoulders of his ball-playing forwards, though)

Why not play Locke at fullback for the Vulcans for the beginning of next season? (side note: when he was playing Vulcans this year, what position was he playing?) Not like we have a shortage of wingers.

Far and away, my #1 position concern is centre. Ropati and Vatuvei is fine. Exactly who will partner Locke/Tupou/Inu (all three of them, hardly competent defensively) is the issue.

Moon? Perhaps- but he's hot and cold.

Inu? He's a winger- and even then, I'm nervous.

I picked Brown on that side- I concede he is a better second rower, and its a sacrifice to put him there- but I am so worried about that side. We have plenty of backrowers and a drought of centres. I'd be interested to hear from people who have alternative takes on it, but that's the way I see it at the moment.
I'm not a fan of Brown regularly playing centre. He's got plenty on attack, but defensively i'm unsure. He has a tendency to drift infield and give his opposite too much space outside him. Plus, while he's strong defending around the ruck, he did fall off a few tackles when one-on-one. (loved the way he defended against Jarryd Hayne in the last Parra game, though). I'd quite like to see him tried at stand-off if Maloney gets injured :D (i have some crazy theories)

You know who i reckon the worst defensive fullback in the NRL is? Hayne.

I have thought for quite some time what the Warriors need most are a couple of class centres.

Moon didn't have too many out and out bad games this year. To me, he looks awful playing five eighth. But put him in centre and he actually produced some good games. Five eighth hopeless, centre above average and certainly liveable.

I think they will start it off with Krisnan Inu. I'm a bit worried about that, but I'm sure Locke and Vatuvei will agree its a tough gig defending on the wing, so Inu's not alone in being fairly ordinary there. The other reason I say that is they're spending a fair wad of cash on him, and I suspect they'll want to find out early if they can get a return on that.

Threw this one out there in another thread, but what about trialling Lousi in the centres? He has been playing there in the Vulcans- how did he go?
