Funniest Animated Sitcom...

It's time to cast your vote people, which is the funniest animated sitcom and why? Maybe because it's an old favorite or you can watch the same episode over and over and still laugh, whatever! What do you reckon?

Though Futurama runs a close second, and probably has a better average than the simpsons as i fell the simpsons are past their hey day and just not as good as it once was.

When is the new movie coming out here? By the way, I have to agree that Family Guy is great- it and 'Dad's Army' are the only shows where I can watch an episode for the 5th time and still laugh my arse off at the same stuff. Quagmire nails it for me "Giggity giggity giggity- Aaaalriiiight!"

The Simpsons by fkn miles. It lost all credibility at least 5 years ago, yet is still not only the best animated show ever, but the best TV show ever fullstop.

The others are flashes in the pan by comparison. South Park has done well to reach season 9 and is my personal favourite atm, but you can't go past The Simpsons all time.

Nevertheless, most of the shows on that list are in the best few shows on TV. Animated comedies are generally better imo.

The Simpsons for mine. South Park can be crude and more cutting because it is on pay tv in the states - not network tv. For a show that has to cater for so many audiences it is brilliant. Futurama was a bit before it's time and not everyone really got it (not me - I loved it). Also Fox have a track record of not being patient with a TV show and putting pressure on it to come up with the goods (see also The Family Guy, Arrested Development).

I can sit down and watch an episode of The Simpsons that I may of seen a dozen times and still laugh at it - thats a sign of longevity. New episodes are a bit hit and miss but still funny - but lets face it, they have just about covered everything as it is...

Not sure when the movie is officially out here. I got a not-so-legit copy a couple of weeks ago.

I love the complete randomness of the big chicken that Peter has an ongoing battle with.
