My mate does a 20-30 minute long telling of a tale called 'Willy the Squirrel' that we've set up a kind of two man show with. While they all gather around to listen, I protest loudly about how awful the joke is and how they shouldn't listen.

They inevitably do, and the punch line is so bad they hit him.

Had an English teacher with one about a kangaroo that would take up almost the whole period to tell. And would tell it a couple of times each year, was always a good way to get out of doing a proper class if you didn't feel like doing anything

That's pretty much my approach to teaching of late. I still do the job and the kids still pass their exams, but I'm so ready for a break from teaching Chinese kids.
