You seen Dean, even if I win the bet, you'll come up with some lame excuse as to why you can't leave this place, therefore, negative prevails.

 Nice excuse.

Let's just put it this way... in 2 weeks, this movie has already brought in over $800,000,000 and it will break the billion dollar barrier. If Star Wars or Avengers beat this take in I will ban myself from this forum!

You've already made the statement. It will be you who is not keeping their word.

Cars falling out of skies... bus scenes that used no CGI... yep... typical Bond!

There was still plenty of CGI used. You don't really think they drove a car from one building into another fifty stories up, do you?

Need for speed used no CGI whatsoever. Neither did Mad f**king Max. It's not a new thing.

MAD MAX?   CGI WASN'T EVEN COMMONLY USED IN 1979

As for the car driving through the towers... OF COURSE THAT WAS CGI... DO YOU REALLY THINK ETIHAD TOWERS, BILLION DOLLAR BUILDINGS WOULD ALLOW STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE TOWERS FOR A MOVIE FFS???

FFS I didn't even mention that scene, I mentioned the Bus scene and plane drops. My goodness the stupidity of some people.

Actually that's only after one week in the US. And hasn't even been released in China yet.

The fact that furious 7 opened in all markets at the same time, yet only made an extra 125mil compared to avengers which has only been out in America for a week (and is still a week off China) is pretty sad on Furious 7s part

By the way Frederick....

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=intl&id=avengers2.htm

Avengers total revenue after 2 weeks according to the above website is: $459,500,000 (foreign to US) and $217,632,476 (domestic, US)

Total: $677,132,476.

Well short of the $800,000,000 Furious 7 pulled in. I bet you're glad I called off that ban bet now for the first 2 weeks gross huh?

Take the first 2 weeks in each market and Avengers could break over one billion in takings. It should get close to 100 million in its second week in America and if Furious 7 is a guide about 250 million in the first 2 weeks in China

Need for Speed was one of the most boring piece of shit movies ever made. Watching them drive some piece of shit Mustang across country for 90% of the movie prior to getting to the actually awesome cars felt like Poochy's itchy and scratchy debut....

"When are they going to get to the fireworks factory?!?!"

Then when the big race finally occurred, it was quite clear that there was no CGI used as the total racing "action" was basically them driving rolling fibreglass models of supercars strapped onto Camry frames and going all of 80km/h.

Furious 7 has now overtaken The Avengers for the all-time number 3 position.

http://www.the-numbers.com/movie/records/#world

The Numbers figures for both films are slightly different from Box Office Mojo (Numbers lists The Avengers as $1.514 billion whereas Mojo lists it as $1.518 billion, and at time of writing it states Furious 7 is up to $1.516 billion), but that's not to say one site is more correct than the other.

Furthermore, it's looking more and more doubtful that Avengers 2 is going to make another $200 million to catch up to Furious 7, as it has already dropped from the top spot in China in its third week. It still has Japan to come but the first film only made $45 million there so it's not like Avengers 2 is going to make the kind of $$$ that it needs to.
