In the Sun herald he waxed lyrical about how good Braith was in Origin, and then backed it up in the Sunday telecast with his verbal diahharea about how 'the ball always bounces his way' and he was best on field when he had an ordinary game and at least three handling errors. Gould is trying to rub Braith up the Gus way so he will provide a replacement for Fittler.
The sydney roosters have formally joined the race for blues five-eighth Braith Anasta in a massive blow to souths hopes of signing the Bulldogs star.
Anasta's ,manager greg willett had continually heard speculation that the roosters were keen on the classy pivot, but until last week it had been just that.A third party told me the roosters are intersested and will make him an offer if he is still on the market June 30.willett says.
The way things are shaping up we will probably wait till then to make any decision on Braith's future,so we will see what develops.
It is doubtful the roosters will be able to match the offer of the rabbitohs, which will be a package well in excess of $500 a season.
But anasta may be tempted to take a lessor amount to join a club with Genuine tittle aspirations ,which the roosters have.
Willett met with Bulldogs CEO last weekend with the club still hopeful of retaining Anasta
"We had a good talk and there is still a strong chance Braith will stay where he is"willett said.
