I understand it is ten year away but it is a long off-season so I decided to make a a thread on it.

Given the trend of blooding players early into the NRL and then replacing them or have them move to England as soon as someone better arrives, it's entirely possible that the 2016 captain of the Cowboys is still in high school (or, even primary school).

Out of the current batch of players, I'll say Johnathan Thurston.

LOL...I saw ur name as last poster in this thread, could guess what you'd post before even reading it.
Yep...Robbie certainly isnt backwards in being forward, he sure has the personality to make a good captain.
Did he captain many of his junior teams?
I think Liam captained ALL his jnr teams, including the 02 ball premiers.
Either would do the job well imo.

I think it would be easier to judge who it will be in 5 years ... I predict in 5 years for the Knights it will be Clint Newton ... since Johns and Buderus will probably both be gone, and Mullen still young.
