On a serious note i hate the Immortals concept. Just because hardly anyone is currently alive to have seen the pre-war greats doesn't mean they're not worthy.

Until Dally Messenger, Duncan Thomspon, Dave Brown, Frank Burge and Vic Hey are inducted then i refuse to take the concept seriously.

Allan Langer played in the NRL for 2 seasons

He also played in Super League and the ARL

The NRL has only existed since 1998

I think that the NRL should have its own hall of fame concept and not be at the mercy of a publication when deciding the greats of its game.

There are heaps of players that would be a shoe in for a hall of fame, but will never reach immortal status due to the pre war rule, NSW - QLD politics and the fact that they are only inducted sporadically for some f**king stupid reason.

Sterling, Kenny, Fittler, Langer, Lyons, Menzies, Lamb, Daley, Stuart, Clyde, Lazarus, Tallis, Webcke, Civ, Rogers snr, Eadie, Krilich, Price, Cronin etc etc.

In any American sport all these men and more would factor in the hall of fame.
