fumblers will have had 8 billion plus spent on their stadia and a few people on here are crying bc the nsw govt was planning on spending another 600 million on stadia

My only issue with NSW govt stadium spending was where it’s been targetted and the attitude of some clubs to it. The SFS rebuild while leaving Homebush untouched and Penrith fans whining about “only” getting 300m being the examples.

well they are asking for $46mill of it back to give them a home to play at so I get why they are not happy lol.
$24mill isnt a lot of comp when they are making $18milll a year from the Gabba, depending on what realistic revenue from the alt stadium is.

heck gws has gotten over 100 million from state and councils for their grounds

And this was triggered by the NSWRL edict back in 1970 to raise the standard of club venues

50 years on most of these venues need another repair/upgrade as little has been done

Eg Leichhardt, Belmore, Brookvale, Henson
