The problem with playing at Graham Park (its real name):
This nearly caused a multi-car pile-up

Lol.i was at that game. Have been to other games there where the ball has landed out on the road way but the one this game ended up on the news and highlight reels.

The pitch for Wests Tigers home games next season was four games at CommBank, four games at Campbelltown, three games at Leichhardt Oval

Love when you see the trains go past at Belmore, have one game at home which has been up loaded to you tube and you see Mike Eden placing the ball for a conversion shot at goal and a red rattler goes past in the background.
Was very close to Lidcombe Oval too. The drivers always blew their horn from about 4.30. It's crazy to think back that they would stop the clock with 10 to go.

Yes had forgotten about Lidcombe Oval even though i went past it on a train out to Parramatta last month. I remeber at Belmore sometimes the train would slow down ( or at least it seemed like they did ) and also blow their horn.

I wonder if it would be possible to move the whole stadium further towards the road at the scoreboard end if you were to start again?

you could even build over the road for the grandstand opposite the rail tracks?

You couldn't really move it closer to the road end at the eastern end. The road is so close, its not uncommon that kicks for goal wind up on it. The overpass is quite liuterally about 10 metres outside the fence at that eastern/water end of the stadium. There is a little room at the other end, but that's where the train line is which doesn't allow too much expansion that way either.

Would building a stand over the road be achievable?

im sure a stand could be built these days that could accommodate a road tunnel be it at the scoreboard end or the grandstand opposite the rail tracks.

The main tenant averages around 6k (a league soccer team)

they won’t be getting an nrl team
They should be getting between 6-8 NRL games a season as it is and who knows what the future holds in terms of a potential Perth bears team which could be either playing ”home” games at the central coast stadium or maybe even a few “away” games against Sydney clubs at the stadium.

We could also maybe see the waratahs set up camp on the central coast the way super rugby is going 😂😂

Central Coast stadium is perfect for what it is. If it had a full time NRL tenant then maybe upgrades would be worth looking at but as it stands it is better than a few Sydney stadiums and more than adequate.

Shame we don’t have some similar quality “secondary” stadiums in Cairns, Rockhampton, Wagga, Coffs, Toowoomba etc.. Sunshine Coast will be the only one of similar quality once it’s been upgraded.

Any NSW money for non-Sydney stadiums should go towards Newcastle and Wollongong before trying to add more seats to CCS.
