well yea once they get their devils stadium.

who owns cararra and has any cricket ever been played there? that suns stadium seems like it only gets aussie rules games and nothing else at least new brissie olympics stadium will get aussie rules, cricket both national and bbl, events like concerts.
Carrara has had quite a few concerts now.

Suns don’t own it it’s owned by stadiums qld

But the afl got the management rights because they injected 10 million or so into the rebuild which they gave to the suns

That allows them to earn all the game day revenue like drinks and food and keep the naming rights too

They pay rent like the titans and broncos as normal though

No thanks... Kogarah doesn't need to be made a priority for the Premier. The ground is already multi-purpose, so doesn't need any significant investment for that and to make it female friendly, doesn't require a new grandstand or anything R2K is suggesting.

That’s what people said about leichardt oval and that just got 40 million

If Pvl can’t get a deal done with the nsw govt directly then any club should try itself to get it done

Between council state and feds it’s always a chance to get something done

it won't be rectangle. Outside of the EKKA, the RNA showgrounds hosts music festivals (think Knotfest, Good Things), it's 100% needed as the old stands are absolutely shitful and the whole arena needs knocking down.

I'm more pissed that there hasn't been any mention of upgrades to Suncorp. It will now play second fiddle capacity wise to this thing at Vic Park.

I'm sure the Olympics will tie up any Queensland government's time and finances for the next 10 years.

After that the NRL needs to tell the Queensland government you are no chance of ever hosting an NRL grand final unless you have a rectangular stadium that can hold 65k plus.

How does a Brisbane Olympics wind up with no legacy for rugby league? Not even a lick of paint for the most used stadium in the state? AFL leeches have hijacked another Australian Olympics.
because theres no rugby league at the olympics? maybe if the olympics make enough bank then some of that cash can go straight into suncorp later down the line.
