Yep, can’t be done. Aparently if the western stand was knocked down to replicate the eastern and we filled the level 7 corners it would nugget 65k. But the roof holds up the top tier so we would all be crushed! There’s no way you could upgrade to accomodate another 8k without a major tear down.

Costs in Perth weren’t just the stadium itself, the whole area needed developing. Including a train station.
Perhaps you shouldn't say shit like Manly can only average 8k after 60 years. It's an outlier. Souths and the Roosters both pulled 10k in 2016 to their games in shiny modern facilities at a time when their ownership wasn't completely alienated from the fan base but no one blathered on about after 100 years that was the best they could do.
Why is 15k terrible? 15k is about 75% full game on game which is a great look for the game. Money is primarily derived from broadcasting revenue these days. Better to have a packed house in a suburban venue than a half empty modern stadium. Looks better on TV and generates better atmosphere.
Crowds aren't improving in any sport in this country these days, and they've lost their importance as a revenue generator, in a sport in a city that hasn't really relied on them since the Pokie Palace popped up. The pokie palace might be dead but Broadcast cash certainly isn't.
15k is NOT a terrible number, it is just bog average. The problem is that Manly cant even get to this...
Forget dreams of hitting 20 or 30k averages, they cant even reach the level of "bog average".
The footbridge cost $150mill! Then there was a new train station, a change to the rail lines so the northern line could be switched for special event trains, a massive pub next door and a major amount of landscaping along the river front. Stadium alone was probably around $1.1billion.
This article has the cost of the stadium at $955mill

I must say that this stadium sounds way too expensive for what we are getting. For that sort of money I would expect at least to have a roof on it as well. It does seem very odd.
your Swannies won't be playing thereA roof would make it great for concerts and the like..
Twitter profile claims Townsend is CEO of Sydney FC soccer team - ie. one of the major tenants of the stadium. Still sounds a little too hedged for my liking. I won’t believe it until I hear it coming from the SCG Trust or NSW government.who are these people?
Managed it 4 times in 61 years. Those are the real outliers.Umm, yes we have got to 15k before.
So to start, your entire premise is wrong.

That would be like $14,000 a seat ..
That would be my guess.
Also. Depending on which parts of football park Adelaide are being retained, thd Eastern terrace there isn't very imposing but has a large capacity due to sheer length.
