Maybe we can put an end to this nonsense with some facts, which I based my original comments on.
The following is from the Gold Coast City Council website.

Subject to agreement by the New South Wales government, an extension of Stage 3 into Tweed Heads could also be possible.

Well, stage 3 hasn't even been built yet, hence my comments re the Qld govt keeping pace. I also based that comment on the record of the current NSW govt in delivering infrastructure, which has been superb.
If the current NSW govt remain in power after the election in March, I have no doubt it will continue.

Anyway, check out the following link which has a full overview of the Gold Coast Light Rail both already in commission and future plans.
It contains the above quote.
Just click on the links for the various stages for info.

http://www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/rapid-transit-6004.html

As I said earlier, not once but twice, any transport infrastructure planning or implementation is a benefit to all NRL stadiums. That is why this discussion is relevant.
The Parramatta Light Rail, which is to begin construction this year, will also be a huge bonus to Bankwest.

Canard, chill man.

Totally genuinely, I'll state that this will have almost no benefit for the Robina Stadium.

It's not close(20kms away)

Tweed isn't close but a stop at a fully implemented Gold Coast Light Rail would be just a short 3-4 km bus ride from a light rail stop at Burleigh. Do you not read posts? Any transport infrastructure is a benefit. It's better than none.

Halted until case returns to court next week.

Bandana Head is no doubt laughing ATM.
Let him bathe in his moment in the sun, clouds soon gather to take the comfort away.

I trust the State Govt has all legal angles covered to fight their case ,against these killjoys.

Have they though? I'd like to see the reasoning behind keeping the capacity and why it was chosen over ANZ. It looks like it was done to keep SCG Trust happy

Do we know why it’s costing $700m yet? AAMI Park was just over a third of that and it’s not too much smaller. Even factoring in demolition costs and it inflation it still seems a lot to pay for a 40k seat stadium.

Gold plated for the trust. It’ll have the best of everything.

Underground car park I think too.

Politics is so fractured that if you offer the slightest bit of praise for anyone you’re automatically in the tank for them.

And we wonder why things are so hard to get done.

Politics is so fractured because most of us have picked a side like they are YOUR team. If enough of us ever wake up enough to never vote for either TEAM again we may have a chance at correcting this ship called Australia.

Trouble is, we are left with the likes of Kerryn Phelps and the Greens who have zero idea about international affairs and running a nation's economy. The mere thought of any of those clowns running the show, frightens the nuts out of me.
