The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Sure, but even assuming it's 100% necessary, $50m still seems like a massive amount of money for a curtain (even one with LED tech embedded).

Perhaps either way they would be better off waiting a couple of years for the technology to come down in price.

$46m was for the media halo & the curtain. Not just the curtain.

Plus it was for an LED curtain.

If they go with what they use at Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta it will be a lot cheaper. There they just use a simple fabric curtain.

Get to ikea and spotlight, $100 a metre for led strips and curtain material lol.

Think about what your TV cost. Then imagine an 8000sqm TV, which is essentially what the LED curtain is. 56M is a bargain.

Mind you, they could save that elsewhere fairly easily.

But its too big really, and way too plush.

How about getting both stadiums built before adding the bells and whistles like LED curtains? Just make sure the designs can accomodate them.

Just make it out of white material and project colours and logos onto it. LED drop down curtains are so over
the top and unnecessary.

The Wanderers inaugural year the spill over was an extra 10million in revenue for Parra leagues.

This is what started Parra leagues transformation plans.

If you're a Tigers supporter, and you decide to use Parra Leagues as a pre & post game venue, then you're a dickhead. Who steps foot in any venue with a rival organisations branding? Use one of the pubs in Parramatta.

I'd say there is healthy degree of cross over between Wanderers and Eels fans.

With TIGERS at the forefront of its brand (100,000,000,000,000,000 more marketable than the Eel), and a generic Wests as its name, Wests Tigers could eventually grow to be bigger than Parra in the Parramatta district. On-field success is the big determinant over time, but playing out of WSS full time would really allow them to capitalise on it more than 3-ground mix.

what would "championship mode (45k)" be used for. The A-league final every 2 or 3 years.
Any other game is either needing a 30k stadium or needs a 60k stadium.

The stadium is really only being designed to service the SCG trust members. Public are secondary

Teams and events are just content

Corporate Boxes. The location of these in the current SFS is horrendous. They need to be along the sideline, not the ends of grounds. These was a massive oversight (probably putting the members ahead of this consideration) with the original plans, and it limited revenue generation.
