hahaha Kareela golf clubs dont make money. especially doing covid times.
It’s ok mate I’d be pissed if I was a goons fan too. Shit-show on and off the field. Keep talking shit and we’ll keep overtaking the merge in every aspect. One of the dumbest trolls I’ve seen in a while…ignore for you xx

Why would the volunteers running North Sydney want to move an hour away? Logistically it makes no sense. You would need to find a whole new committee. North Sydney RL exists to support/run RL in North Sydney. Are you suggesting the the Bears brand is so strong that it will boost RL in CC? Surely those volunteers based on the CC would rather invest their time into CC RL rather than the Bears.
It's a waste leaving them in North Sydney, playing in front of 20 people at North Sydney Oval, while Gosford sits empty. We need a strong team representing Central Coast in the NSW Cup. If it's not going to be the Bears then it needs to be some other club. Plus the Bears said they wanted to move to Gosford in 1999, so it's time they lived up to their word.

running a nrl club is now a $30million a year business and growing, small regional cities arent going to be able to sustain an nrl club now or I to the future, just one reason why we need a proper second division in this country for those clubs where $5-10mill a year revenue is a more realistic goal.

The NSW Cup needs to own regional cities like Central Coast, Newcastle and Wollongong so that there's a) strong pathways from juniors to the NRL and a b) content for the regional affiliate broadcasters that matters to the local people. Tweed Heads Seagulls should be playing in the NSW Cup alongside teams from Sydney that don't have an NRL team.

I used to think Manly was this massive, rich club when I was a kid.

As I got older I realised they were very small.

Qld Cup grew by merging BRL and the Qld Country divisions

NSW Cup can do the same with country divisions Central Coast, Coffs, New England, Western Div, Riverina joining the non NRL clubs Wenty, Wests, Newtown, Norths, Blacktown, Mounties

But it wont work unless NRL RG is established

Family Hill survives the Penrith rebuild due to Logistics. Still good outcome to provide a point of difference then Parra or SFS

Interesting but i cant find any information about them keeping the hill.

So will it be grandstand on the Eastern and Western side and also grandstand at the southern end and hill at the Northern end ?

it was in the local Western Weekender paper.

the Paceway side hill. The rest Grandstand along the style of Townsville. The road and sewage pipes make a Parra type stadium impossible.

4 different styles for the stadiums is a good thing.

I heard the Sharks are looking to be acquiring more assets so they either have cash stashed or they’re making good coin from what they already have? It’s good that they have ambition beyond merely surviving.
They want a third venue in the shire. Theyre looking at a couple of acquisition type deals ala kareela.

Kareela the club itself is profitable. The land they acquired with it was the real bit of good business.
Development 2 electric boogaloo

They also threw heaps in a fund. Seems to be performing well enough. You can google the investment fund info from the chairmans adress from say...july. maybe.

This is by far the best they have been run as a business in forever.
