I just cant think of a venue that is only good for AFL and cricket as being "world class". Especially if the field itself is ordinary for cricket (which Adelaide oval is).

Adelaide Oval is fine, great location as well. Shits on everything in Sydney bar the new SFS when it's finished.

What about Parra Stadium?
Every seat in Parra Stadium would have a better view than Adelaide oval has.

I highly doubt the Penrith stadium build will go ahead. It does nothing for the economy and doesn't even really make sense as a stadium strategy thing. The economic recovery from covid is going to justify a lot of change of plans over the next 18 months.
Drop it T-Boon, Penrith Stadium will generate a lot of jobs and economic activity during construction, and after completion.
Because an area is rugby league dominated shouldn’t rule it out from getting a new stadium.

We are talking about the stadium itself, not the wicket.

There hasn't been a draw there since 2012.

I am talking about the whole arena. You cant ignore the wicket. It is the main thing.
There has been a bunch of declarations to get results...probably

Haha come on. That’s like saying you don’t like a certain league stadium because the drainage is poor or the grass is too short.

Completely irrelevant to the quality of a stadium.

Qld Cup grew by merging BRL and the Qld Country divisions

NSW Cup can do the same with country divisions Central Coast, Coffs, New England, Western Div, Riverina joining the non NRL clubs Wenty, Wests, Newtown, Norths, Blacktown, Mounties

But it wont work unless NRL RG is established
Wests are in the NRL

optus is. What makes world class for me is:
-location - somewhere special, easy to get to, entertainment options near by
-design, makes you go wow as you approach it
- experience, something a bit different, good food and drinks options, good toilets, options to sit with a great view or go for a walk and stand somewhere for a few minutes and not miss any action, disabled facilities, amount of ladies toilets, roof that actually covers you in the rain etc
- lighting, state of the art led that adds to the atmosphere
- playing surface, pristine and allows the sport being watched to be played at its optimum

those are my boxes for if somethings world class.

I’m looking forward to covid buggering off so I can visit bankwest and sfs and see if they tick the boxes.

If they got the wicket back to that bouncy wacka per the 90s it would certainly be worthy.
