Funny graph

Easts have NEVER had any part of the CBD West of George St (Balmain/Glebe) or south of Liverpool St (Souths)

And Wests always had Auburn /Lidcombe

While Dogs have Liverpool to Bankstown

Wests lost their traditional area when they moved to Campbelltown.
Dogs got a lot of it, Berala Bears, Enfield Feds etc. Balmain picked up Five Dock. Not sure if Parra got anything, but Lidcombe out would be a possibility if they did.

Upgrading / expanding old stadiums is generally a waste of time and money. Eventually they need to be knocked down. A new build is the go. Suncorp has about 15 years of useful life left. Why spend hundreds of millions for 2032 when the whole thing will need replacing five to 10 years later?

The Gabba/VicTori’s Park will be rebuilt slightly more narrow, so a fraction better for rectangular sports. I would wait until the Gabba is available, the do a full rebuild of Suncorp at 65k after 2032. Broncos can play at the Gabba while it is rebuilt.

Otherwise, the new oval stadium will be Queensland’s main stadium.

In times of austerity, good future planning isn't really a consideration for government's especially those that may or may not last more than one election cycle.

Its highly likely that the "lipstick on a pig" option gets chosen and the Gabba gets all the money.

PS this typo of your "VicTori" is hilariously apt and explains how some Qlders feel about Aussie Rules fans.
