Cheers, it’s a shame but not a surprise. Hopefully Mt Smart can get some money spent on it assuming All Blacks & Blues will also be playing there during those redevelopments.

Eden Park should be used by the Warriors at least once a year, Anzac Day obviously choice.
Anzac and depending on the mood of the club and form from the previous season the warriors 1st home regular season NRL game.

It’s truly a horrific scenario that we have a stadium like Allianz in Sydney and it’s only used by one team.

There should be three teams there: Roosters, Bunnies, Saints. Saints can play 5-6 games there easily, with the rest in an upgraded WIN and a token game in Kogarah.

Let sanity prevail and get these teams in there asap.
Further on this..

Saints could maximise their crowds with a split like this:

Kogarah
- Titans

Win
- Raiders
- Cowboys
- Dolphins
- Storm
- manly

Allianz
- dogs
- roosters
- bunnies
- sharks
- eels
- broncos

We should be aiming for sellouts for all the win and kogarah games. And no reason all the Allianz games couldn’t aim for a 25k average.

maybe start with moving just a few games to Allianz: vs Dogs, bunnies, roosters/dogs.

It looks amazing - seats so close to the action, decent angle on the stands - and right in the centre of the city - the roof is icing on a delicious cake.

They're doing EVERYTHING RIGHT.
They sure are.

whats the official capacity going to be for rugby games mate?

maximum of 30k for footy (25k permanent, 5k temporary), 36k for concerts.

I know there's been some concern that it wasn't the size of the old pre-earthquake Lancaster Park (that was 38.5k.. and they were looking to get it to nearly 45k for the 2011 RU World Cup), but crowds aren't what they used to be.

It's still a big upgrade from the current stop-gap venue, a makeshift upgrade of the old Rugby League Park that's 17k capacity, out in the suburbs & getting to the end of it's life as a top-tier sports venue.

Teams that should bid to move there:
Bulldogs
Sharks
Tigers
Warriors (then bring in 2 new Auckland teams). Haha.

Nsw govt has funded so many of these of lost track of the totals but it’s easily over 200 million
Rugby team? Is the guy an AFL tragic?

Good to see the spiritual homes getting some love with this money. Maybe Kayo, Brooky, Campbeltown, Canberra and Mt Smart needs some funding for an NRLW team 😉
