So you were wrong and it doesnt just host rugby league? Ok thought so.It was upgraded solely because the tigers wanted it
The seats have been literally done in the clubs colours

So which other teams was it done for ?So you were wrong and it doesnt just host rugby league? Ok thought so.
Seeing Commbanks switch to safe standing areas (same as happening in some all seater stadiums in UK now) surely this is a cheaper way to create end stands and then use the big bucks for the side stands?
I guess it will benefit anyone playing (ie the union and football teams that play there) there, isnt that your argument re HBF park? lolSo which other teams was it done for ?
Wonder if its just a 'not used to it' scenario? I grew up standing on terraces and still find sitting boring as sht at a games. In fact I tend to now by the cheapest seats on offer and stand in the concourse for most of the game at stadiums that have that facility.Speaking of the safe standing area yesterday, it was the most sparsely populated part of the stadium, even though it had the cheapest tickets. WTF?
Thousands are quite happy to stand on a muddy hill at Leichhardt or Kogarah, but when provided with stepped concrete and rails to lean against, they abort it? WTF is wrong with Aussies?
It's these types of areas that provide the best atmospheres at English grounds.
Why can't we do that here?
I applaud the Tigers for at least giving it a go. It's the first time the CommBank safe standing area has been used at an NRL game.

Im hoping, if and when, HBF gets its next upgarde they dont replace the shed and instead extend it back and full width and put a cantilever roof over that end. Can add another 2-3k capacity at a fraction of the cost. Also gives a cheap ticket option which is needed for fans who might not have much disposable income.I cannot sit at games.
The season tickets I have bought in the past have always been back row, so I can still stand.
The Eels have been encouraging this "active supporter" group of theirs (lol), but locate them on a side terrace, despite having a safe standing area at CommBank. It's just nuts.
The Wanderers safe standing area are the cheapest season ticket memberships possible.
I'm sure the shed end at HBF is the same for Perth Glory.
I thought that was just a schoolboy symbolic tribute to the collapse of rugby generally.Stand on the right hand side got condemned (there was a schoolboy’s union game and it collapsed when they were on it lol) so that’s the new stand
Should the Tigers have had the COE at the eastern hill at Leichhardt Oval instead of Concord?
The stand at the Southern end was condemned as well wasn’t itNah doubt it it’s just the current one tarted up
Don’t know what they’ve put behind it though that’s new
A new stand on the side won’t fit in the budget
Edit : added link above @perthred
“a brand-new northern grandstand as well as upgrades to the existing western grandstand including, upgraded seating, a new rear mezzanine level, upgraded female-friendly player facilities as well as new corporate and media amenities.”
Maybe a function area and members bar is being added behind the latchem Robinson stand
f**k, why bother
its probably no good for league but fine for lacrosse or something.f**k, why bother
Ive had a couple Bentspoke...so, ah, not bad.
