The NRL is happy to remove the two game advantage from both states in exchange for a neutral venue, however all years have a game at Lang Park.

No chance, even when the Broncos moved to QSAC, Origin stayed at the smaller Lang Park until it was closed for redevelopment into it's present day form

With Ipswich jets looking at an nrl team than that’s where they should play their games as a point of difference to the broncos and dolphins

From what the QLD government have said, I don't think they need to. Suncorp will get its upgrade, it's just a matter of when.

I think we keep the focus on getting Accor Stadium upgraded.

A few hundred million for 5k extra seats ? Thats a hard no just leave it as is and then make the case later on for a new 70 to 80k stadium

It seems like the qld govt is trying to stop the perception it’s done little for league in Brisbane but they made the choice for Victoria Park over a billion spent on Suncorp

The QLD gov should build a new 35k stadium at the Gabba site and do a full refurb on Suncorp.
tear down the western stand, fill the corners, and put a roof over it. 62k-72k would be ideal.

No it won't, Origin never moved out of Suncorp during the 90s and QE2 had an extra 15k seats. QRL do get a say here, won't happen

Yes, this is exactly what should happen. Brisbane is in dire need of a mid sized rectangular stadium so Suncorp can drop Reds, Roar and smaller drawing NRL games and just focus on being a big stadium for Broncos (allow them to push their averages closer to 50k), all the big SEQLD derbies between Brons, Phins, Jets and Tits except Tits home games of course) and the international soccer and Union teams.

Ballymore is falling down. Since Olympic funding got pulled (cause they were going to play hockey there, but hockey australia got pissed at that), it's now back to begging for the stadium just to get patched up. Reds aren't ever goign to play proper games there again. Residents would have a fit given it's location.
