Calling it now Origin will head to Victoria Park once it's open. Extra 10k seats. That's alot of money for the NRL.For all the engineers on here, a discussion of the ROI for more seats at Lang Park.
From today's Cairns Post.

Blud the NRL owns the finals series and they don't move Cronulla from their sheep shed in week one. Origins will not leave Lang Park. Top 5 dumbest comment I've ever seen.It would leave Lang Park, explain the MCG, Adelaide Oval and Optus Stadium games?
No chance, even when the Broncos moved to QSAC, Origin stayed at the smaller Lang Park until it was closed for redevelopment into it's present day formCalling it now Origin will head to Victoria Park once it's open. Extra 10k seats. That's alot of money for the NRL.
With Ipswich jets looking at an nrl team than that’s where they should play their games as a point of difference to the broncos and dolphinsCalling it now Origin will head to Victoria Park once it's open. Extra 10k seats. That's alot of money for the NRL.
Why does LU so desperate for teams to play on cavernous ovals? With Ipswich jets looking at an nrl team than that’s where they should play their games as a point of difference to the broncos and dolphins
Like when the broncos played at qe2 which was a dump whilst the crushers had lang park
I think the nrl needs to pressure the qld gov to make it rectangular after the games. Why does LU so desperate for teams to play on cavernous ovals?
Do you want clubs to fail?
From what the QLD government have said, I don't think they need to. Suncorp will get its upgrade, it's just a matter of when.I think the nrl needs to pressure the qld gov to make it rectangular after the games.
From my understanding, they will demolish the GABBA.If thats the case,it will remain an oval.I think the nrl needs to pressure the qld gov to make it rectangular after the games.
No it won't, Origin never moved out of Suncorp during the 90s and QE2 had an extra 15k seats. QRL do get a say here, won't happenCalling it now Origin will head to Victoria Park once it's open. Extra 10k seats. That's alot of money for the NRL.

Yes, this is exactly what should happen. Brisbane is in dire need of a mid sized rectangular stadium so Suncorp can drop Reds, Roar and smaller drawing NRL games and just focus on being a big stadium for Broncos (allow them to push their averages closer to 50k), all the big SEQLD derbies between Brons, Phins, Jets and Tits except Tits home games of course) and the international soccer and Union teams. The QLD gov should build a new 35k stadium at the Gabba site and do a full refurb on Suncorp.
tear down the western stand, fill the corners, and put a roof over it. 62k-72k would be ideal.
Pretty sure the govt is looking at an upgrade to Perry park as the ffa have been lobbying for itYes, this is exactly what should happen. Which is basically useless for nrl
Roar are average 6.2k so 20k is way too big for themBut perfect for the Reds and other codes which draw low.
Roar are average 6.2k so 20k is way too big for them
Reds are trying to get more money for ballymore don’t know if they intend to play there if it gets to 20k
Perry park is being pushed solely by the ffa and nobody else
