Stadium going back to full capacity on the cards once that’s done

Leaving them with the leagues club plus Kareela

“The Club build is projected to take around 12-15 months, with the Sharks pencilling in an opening date of mid-to-late 2026.”

Why has no league club dropped their capacity by a third?

The Peter Burns Stand is part of the same structure as the Leagues Club, with the upper level (and I believe some of the corporate areas) only accessible via the LC.

Those areas have been completely inaccessible during the renovation.

Second reason is with some of the fire escapes being inaccessible and it being an active construction site, some parts of the ground have a reduced capacity order.

Accor is a sht stain of a stadium! You should be embarrassed sydney.
99% of Sydney siders really wouldn't care.
Its 26 years old and continues to attract every single Australian major event (sport and concerts) possible.
As for Rugby League, Sydney has 2 of the best rectangular Stadiums in the country.
For ACCOR, its not ideal but looks great on TV when its full and still a better Rugby League venue than Optus or the MCG.

Top Australian Stadiums to attend and view Rugby League in based on expected attendance.

20,000 -Central Coast Stadium, Gosford NSW
A stack of Sydney venues (with grass hills) at this size, but as for overall quality, Gosford is fantastic and easily the most picturesque!.Its a pity its not used more regularly by the NRL.

25,000 -Townsville Stadium, Townsville QLD
Robina, Gold Coast second, then a huge gap to Canberra.

30,000 -CommBank Stadium, Parramatta NSW
Pretty competitive at this size, with AAMI and Newcastle, but Commbank is another level.

40,000 -Allianz Stadium, Sydney NSW
No contest

50,000 -Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane QLD
No contest

60,000+ -ACCOR Stadium, Sydney, NSW
MCG and Optus only remaining in this range and made exclusively for Cricket and fumbleball. They are both millions miles away from a Rugby League field.

HBF Park is better than Gosford. Its 4 sided for starters.

Both are 20,000 all seater venues.
Personally ,the Western Grandstand at HBF looks terrible.
Maybe its heritage listed but it will look better if they ripped that down and rebuilt something like the Eastern Stand.

While that stand remains, Gosford for me.

Advantages of HBF park
steeper rake to the stands
better roof cover on main stand
more corporate facilities
2 largew screens
LED lighting system
4 sides

HBF is the best 20k stadium in the country (just I'll give you until the new stand is built)

Does HBF have an Osprey nesting and raising its young in any of its light stands?

There is only really one stadium in the country that is between 35K-40K and its the AFL Stadium at Kardinia Park,Geelong.
Dont think the Storm have ever played an NRL game there.
