As WB said, vs Dogs.
They have an agreement on sharing game revenue which requires Dragons to use a bigger, neutral, ground.
At least this year, I hope it continues for many years personally.
Two sellouts at Allianz next year makes the case for more dragons games there

Dogs roosters and souths at a minimum but only on Sunday day

Would be good to move a Souths home game to Allianz as well for the Saints.

Like above, we can be aiming for 3 sellouts or close to sellouts with Roosters, Bulldogs and Souths games. Would really boost the dragons average.

Honestly, once the Sydney-based Dragons fans are used to the SFS daytrip, you can reasonably expect sellouts against those three AND Tigers, Sharks, Many

and, at a stretch, Parra, Storm and Brisbane

Wollongong can cop whatever they get (i say that as a former Wollongong residents). But Dragons games in Sydney should be the top-drawing matches of the rounds

really, Kogarah is just pathetic

the Dragons is probably Sydney most legendary sports clubs. You can't move them to Adelaide or even Wollongong. I agree with the above, they need to try to take SFS over.
Dont forget the Swans stole the Dragon's identity for the very reason that the Dragons are Sydney's most legendary club. The Dragons should get in and aim to steal from what the Swans have achieved in that area.

I'd say Dragons then Rabbitohs.
The Dragons have never had a go at trying to be a big-time big city modern club. Souths were that then moved west. Dragons should 100% move to SFS.
It would never happen but ideal dragons split should be gong 9 games and the rest sfs or one heritage game at kogarah like the dogs do with Belmore

Same for the tigers re Campbelltown, with one at lo at two Allianz

And I love lo and kogarah great grounds

This is why I can't agree with governments committing money to these stadiums, if the dragons can't even commit to a ground themselves why should the government commit money there?

Personally I think they should be based at the gong with the big derbies at allianz.

The Sharks should be based at the Gong. It makes way more sense.

I have a better idea. How about Dragons play full time in Sydney. Ten games at Allianz and two at Kogarah.

Very important to have two heritage matches at Kogarah oval for the over 55's demographic, who reside in the Shire, to reminisce about the good ol days at Kogarah where they saw the likes of Graham Langlands, Craig Young, Steve Morris, Ricky Walford, Ben Kusto along with another 9,000 people in attendance.

As for the Illawarra, with no NRL, the AFL from afar is showing interest at a possible team 20 at the 'gong. They would be lobbying the state government to build a 20,000 seater- $2 billion stadium at JJ Kelly Park. And of course over time, rugby league juniors in the region would get converted to AFL.

This is all because there is not enough NRL games in Sydney.

Sydney -7 games: Kogarah 5, Allianz 2
Wollongong - 5 games

The lunatics on bigfooty have a continuing debate about team 20. The candidates are Brisbane 2, WA3, SA3, Canberra and even NT, NZ, Cairns and Newcastle. The Illawarra is never mentioned, possibly because they have never heard of it. Unless the AFL management is very different from the bigfooty fans, I suspect the risk of an AFL team is minimal.

Just proves that they are desperately trying to catch up to the NRL's progress.
They can add any team they like.
A 3rd in SA or WA will only bastardize the current teams.
The other's mentioned will only be another money suck and failure like the Suns and Giants.
Honestly, they are kidding themselves.

The AFL would kill to have the club locations and Heartland areas that the NRL have. I would never swap it. What would you rather if you were the AFL… Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Brisbane, north Qld, Canberra, Auckland…. Or Adelaide, Geelong, Perth and Tasmania?

forget we’ll have Perth very soon too.

Besides Victoria, they have heartlands only in the smaller population areas of the country.

The NRL has teams representing far more of Australia than the AFL can ever dream of.

NRL - Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, soon to be Perth, Canberra, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Townsville, Wollongong. Add in Auckland and soon to be PNG and that's 11 cities with teams.

AFL - Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Gold Coast and I guess you can include Geelong. Tasmania/Hobart would make 8 cities. That would be their absolute max.

They aren't seriously considering teams in Newcastle or North Qld are they? What a joke that would be.
