There is speculation that future Super Bowls could be played outside the USA. Like in England.

I was reading a story today about the Super Bowl and the author was quite keen to mention that in about 5 years time he believes it will happen. Not the first time I have heard this.

Tickets are already $500 a pop, f**k they'd be making so much money from the country wanting to host it.

That it would be.

The only reason I don't see that happening is the weather. It would be too hot.

Somehow I think the fact it would need to be played at 10am on a Monday would also prove a problem.

Can't see this realistically happening...

I'd love for the NFL to bring a game out here, similiar to what they do in England. Even if it was a pre-season game I'd still definitely go. I know they brought out a game once to ANZ stadium. Can't remember that circumstances of the situation though.

Money talks a million languages.

If an overseas city come up with the right offer I am pretty sure that the NFL will atleast listen.

What you need to remember is that cost of going to the Super Bowl has priced most americans out of getting a ticket. So they sit back and enjoy the TV coverage. So where tha game is played matters little to most people there.

Back on Aug 7th, 1999 Denver played San Diego here in Sydney in a pre season game.

agreed

be interresting to see if they actually had a world cup challenge type game that they could play in other countries so they dont have a mortgage on their self appointed title of world champions much like their world series, they dont allow other teams in yet still call themselves world champions

What about timezones and etc, the largest TV audience is in USA, too much to risk over a format that is working so good at the moment. The SB at least in AU is watchable compared to the EPL...kills my life waiting for 2am games.
