A World Cup needs more than 4 venues, I'd add in McMahon Stadium in Calgary and probably Lamport and another smaller Ontario stadium. Temperatures would also be a problem in Winnipeg, the average in November is like -5 C. I'd love to see a WC in Canada though.

Two of those venues are soccer-sized so in-goals may be dangerously short again. Not that anyone gave a shit about player welfare last year...

You have to look at economic and societal benefits for a region. You just can't take the odd games to other countries. Ireland was the perfect example in 2013.

What we do need to do is make future world cups the pinnacle of the game.
SOO is fine for Australia, but it won't spread the game in the USA or Europe. World cups will.

2021 should be a UK/France split with some big games in France.

I would go with something like:
UK Opening DH: Wembley
France Opening DH: Toulouse (Soccer stadium)
Quarters: Montpellier, Leeds, Wigan, Cardiff
Semis: DH Old Trafford
Final: Marsielle or Paris

Whatever pool France are in play all games in France.

c'mon dude...a country has to have a interest in RL...lol

Its about building an interest in China. If we wait till a country shows even a little interest in the game before we have the world cup there then the game is going no where very quickly.

The World Cup should be about making as much money as possible. Right now it is the only way the RLIF gets any money at all. Isn't it better to hold it in England/France, make money and then put that into youth development in China then have a couple of weeks in China which the locals don't care about? By all means have fun looking at stadiums but right now World Cups must rotate between the NH and SH on an 8 year basis.

we all know that...

for mine i think its gonna be at least 2025-29 before we should even consider taking the world cup to canada, usa, south africa....but in the mean time we need to test the market in those countries with test events like a 4 team comps & 8 team 'federation shield'-type events.......then they get to host the big one
