The only Sydney final,Manly v Souths is looming as the match of the round.

They should scrap home finals and play them all at Telstra,Suncorp and Mt.Smart.
You would get sixty thousand at this weekends game easy, maybe more.
Bigger crowds, better atmosphere and players rise to the occaision making for better football.

As for the game,if Souths can limit their errors they have the defence to hold Manly out.

and Manly don't have the defence to hold out the Souff's attack?

The farkers need to turn up for the second forty. If we play reasonable football for the 80, we'll murder them. I am in no way confident of that happening however.

It's been tragic. We just Can't afford to switch off like that anymore. I can excuse them for the Souths and Warriors matches, but the Dragons effort was woeful.

Keeping in mind that some tickets will still sell at agencies this evening.

Jane Try and Ken Arthurson Stand – a very limited number of single seats are available.
Southern Stand – about 50% still remain, will be able to get seats together if you are very quick in the morning.

Some restricted view seats will be available in Jane Try, Ken Arthurson and Southern Stand. This may mean you have a railing obscuring some view, parts of the stand obscuring the big screen etc.

Western Concourse Seating - Plenty Available

General Admission - Plenty Available

Sounds like around 1/3 of the crowd will be Souths supporters, after 6-7,000 have been purchased by season ticket holders.

In terms of the result, I will wait for the teams and the Ref to be announced.

Jason Taylor is taking in the same team that he took into the Roosters game last week. With Fa'alogo fighting his charge, an unsuccessful appeal will see Manuokafoa or Lowe get the call up.

Plea to get Rabbitohs on the hop

MANLY boss Grant Mayer fears emotional South Sydney fans will ambush their Sea Eagles counterparts in Saturday night's NRL semi-final at Brookvale Oval.

Early ticket sales indicators show Rabbitohs' season ticket holders will out-number Manly fans three to one.

The majority of South Sydney's 2500 season ticket holders have already snapped up seats for Saturday night's final.

Rabbitohs' season ticket fans are entitled to one reserve seat per ticket, plus two general admission tickets, ensuring at least 7500 Souths supporters will be there.

Mayer said with just 1200 Sea Eagles season ticket holders, Manly are facing the genuine prospect of being out-numbered.

``I'm gutted that already we are out-numbered at our own ground,'' the Sea Eagles CEO said. ``I want as many people to get tickets as possible this morning because Fortress Brookie is very important to us.''

Manly prop Jason King was stunned when told Rabbitohs fans were leading the race for tickets.

``This is what we've been striving for all year . . . a home semi,'' he said.

``On behalf of all the players, I urge all fans to purchase tickets to support the mighty Eagles.''

Supporters of both clubs yesterday inundated their official websites, calling on fans to buy tickets.

``Every ticket we buy is one less they can get,'' one Manly fan wrote.

``We need to make this a true home game for the boys.

``Get your tickets and play your part in giving the team every possible chance.''

Staunch Sea Eagles fan Michelle Bruzzano, mother of Kayla, 5, and Beau, 3, said kick-off on Saturday night can't come around quick enough for her family.

``We've been waiting a very long time for a home (semi) final so we're going to make the most of it,'' she said.

``There's going to be a great crowd there so the atmosphere should be amazing.

``Hopefully we can help get the boys over the line.''

General admission tickets go on sale from 9am today. Fans can purchase tickets through Sea Eagles headquarters at Narrabeen, or Ticketek on www.ticketek.com.au. Supporters can buy a maximum of eight tickets each.

That should just about kill off any home ground advantage. LMAO.

IMPORTANT PUBLIC TRANSPORT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SATURDAY
4/09/2007
By Manly Sea Eagles

Fans travelling to Brookvale Oval on Saturday night for the match between Manly and South Sydney are advised there are a number of road closures and cancelled public transport routes in Sydney.

Those making the journey to the northern peninsula are advised that there will be no trains stopping at Circular Quay and that the Jet Cat service will not be in operation.

Fans who have tickets for the match are encouraged to catch the train to Wynyard for the bus exchange to the Northern Beaches.

Delays will be heightened between 4pm and 6.30pm and routes through the city will be restricted.

Fans driving to the match are advised that both the Harbour Tunnel and the Harbour Bridge will be available, with those using the bridge advised that the best access will be via Harris Street and the Pyrmont fly-over (returning via the same route).

LATE MAIL

Third qualifying final: South Sydney yesterday confirmed Manase Manuokafoa had joined their squad for the suspended David Fa'alogo. The Rabbitohs refused to comment on who would start. Manly have added winger Michael Bani to their squad, taking the number of players training this week to 20. The Sea Eagles report no injuries but coach Des Hasler won't trim his squad until an hour before kickoff. Hasler will coach his 100th first-grade game. Souths have beaten Manly at Brookvale just twice in their last 12 visits.
