The longer the better. Seeing bears fans crying about not having a team is almost satisfying as watching them cry when they get (sorry, got, has to be past tense) hammered at North Sydney Oval.

Perth and QLD are the only real options for the next expansion. Maybe in 10 years they can add CC and NZ2 but QLD desperately needs another team, the talent is there and it'd be better having it stay in QLD rather than be spread out through the league. Perth is the most logical option for true expansion. Behind the CC bid, Perth has to be the most complete bid and has much more to offer the game.
Funny....seems the titans are having trouble finding it. To such an extent that they're spending close to a million dollars paying one unproven player (Idris) and a nuffy from easts (Myles). If all this talent is there why are the Tits forced to overpay to take players from NSW clubs rather than find some players in this supposed abundance of talent that is QLD?

The Australian and Queensland representative nuffy? The Queensland representative that constantly keeps Dave Taylor out of the qld side? That nuffy? Myles has proven that he can play in the big games.

Myles will go well at the titans and Idris will surprise if Cartwright puts him in the second row and tells him his role.

The Gold Coast are a work in progress, Searle has to stop thinking he's a genius and the club will go well in the future. Juniors just don't pop out overnight and become first grade standard.

What's this about Bears fans crying?

What a stupid, misguided attitude.

People want to see a team on the Central Coast. 7,000 members without a team playing in the comp is nothing to be sneezed at.

Nice offtopic reply that didn't have anything to do with anything.

Your original point was moronic. You attempted to use an argument that because the Titans buy a couple of players, suddenly the game cant sustain an extra team.

Idiot.

However, Gallop made it clear it had nothing to do with the troubles endured by the Titans.

There goes that stupid "we can't expand in Qld because of the Titans" line of thought

Gallop has reportedly not been impressed by the Bombers suggesting the competition should expand in 2013 or their choice of a WWI bomber pilot for their logo.
They sure have p!ssed him off. Hopefully they will change their aweful brand.

I hated the name at first but it has grown on me. They just need to stop making stupid comments like "We'll bring back Hunt & SBW", for the sake of publicity.

another question that shouldve been asked is why dont the NRL have rules in place to prohibit clubs from approaching, coming to an agreement, or contracting with personnel (players and staff) from opposition clubs prior to season end. one of the biggest farce of the league.

That's because the titans have sh*t recruitment.

I didn't know players who made State of Origin in the most dominate Origin team of all time were classified as 'nuffy' player.

If hes so fantastic then explain why the Roosters didn't move heaven and earth to try and keep him.

I'm worried Gallop has suddenly cooled on expansion and on the bids. I wish he'd make his mind up!

If Perth don't get the next team the NRL have rocks in their head.

If QLD don't get the 2nd franchise the NRL have rocks in their head. Take a look at Sundays TV ratings, a big win for AFL due mainly to the lack of a QLD team on FTA.
