Galvin v the Tigers

I mean given you've mentioned a FW investigation, some of the standard examples of bullying per s.789FD are exclusion in (or from) the workplace, deprivation of opportunity or deliberate unreasonable work demands (like giving someone too much or too little work, or forcing them to take leave potentially).

That's probably why Moses has made this play. I genuinely don't know if Galvin is covered and I doubt this would be considered anything but reasonable action, but for someone like Moses it's not about that. It's about playing the club into a position where the easiest option is to cave rather than slog it out in public anymore.

I kind of feel bad for Galvin tbh. I think he's a flog, but who the f**k isn't at 18/19? Between his manager and his dad there's not a lot of rational thought

Playing NSW cup isn’t deprivation of opportunity, and stress leave is a pretty standard offering to people who claim they cannot work due to a hostile environment.

no one is owed a spot in first grade, as his and all NRL contracts would absolutely state.

as for what 18/19 year olds aren’t Galvin level flogs? I’d say just about every NRL player current or past given this is about the first time I can recall that this situation has occurred. He’s in a class of his own here

My god that is a wild take of epic proportions lol.. all over a post that said “Team first” and another social media post that literally had no caption

the same 19 year old kid had video footage laughing and joking around with team mates the next day. Didn’t seem like he was bullied like the media portrayed

If you’re so concerned about his mental health blame his pissant manager for dragging his name through the mud & making it untenable for him to stay at his junior club

This thread really does bring out the Karen’s 🤷‍♂️
Yeah. You're right. The post Turuva made wasn't targeting Galvin at all. None of the players were talking about him on social media. It was all a huge misunderstanding and the fans also don't hate him.

He’s probably had worse things said to him on the footy field by players and by fans. Just relax and take a deep breath, if you’re offended by the things that were said maybe go work in a library or something

Nah NSW Cup is fine. Whacking someone on stress leave against their will without a raft of independent medical assessments and a Worksafe investigation (for example) because they make a bulking claim is not. It's probably even an adverse action on top of Moses bullying junk.

And like I said earlier in the thread, I've seen regular plebs (lawfully) sacked for less than what Turuva did under business harassment and bullying policies. So they've fallen right into Moses trap tbh, even if I doubt it goes anywhere.

I'm not at all saying the bullying or any other claims would have legs in the long run, just that Moses absolutely wants them to take that sort of action to give him more ammo to spray in a public shit fight.

The tigers should respond to his letter by stating they will put him on paid leave for the next 6 months and then he can play in NSW cup next season.

I can’t imagine any fair work investigation would find such terms disagreeable.

this bloke is ruining his career like that flog who is suing the bulldogs for making him cry at training
TBH, I'm still trying to work out what the club has done wrong, they let members know he would not be here after 2026 and they would not be making any further comment.
They then gave the player the option of not playing this week and he refused?
All the noise is coming from others, not the club.

Exact same could be said of Galvin.

His management informed the club that they wouldn't be resigning with the club.

They gave them 18 months notice to make suitable arrangements.

Maybe use your brain, it was never about him leaving, players leave clubs all the time, it's about the shit his team brought up to the media to disrespect the coach to agitate a release.

He obviously has a contract waiting (which is a violation of his contract), why else would a manager state he had no interest in such a big offer.

It’s good to know the internal leaks have stopped, lolz

1. What shit did Galvin or his team bring to the media? What are the exact words they've apparently said? Because the worst that's been said is that he believes he'll develop better at another club.

2. Because he doesn't want to be at your club? It's obviously got a shit culture and young players don't have faith they can develop there.

Well, who was it? Whose interests does it serve? Not the clubs.
Uh, yeah it does? Because the reporting and response to this supposed list is just more of a pile on Galvin. Maybe use your brain.

This has played out perfectly for Richo. He's won every PR battle in this whole scenario despite he being the one throwing the toys out of the cot to start this.

Didn't you have the internet last week? They spread a list of grievances that Richo told them to f**k off after the first one. That titbit then got out into the news, by Chammas, who is a known supporter of Moses, connecting the dots yet.
Again, It has nothing at all to with him wanting to leave. But it's very strange to do so with more than a year and a half left on his contract.

You're kidding yourself. What's happening is illegal in the NRL.
Yes it's helping Richo, by him staying silent and letting the enemy destroy themselves.

Oh they spread the list did they? Please prove anything you're claiming? Post a link to something that suggests that Galvins team spread this list (which no one has seen).

Oh it's known he's a supporter of Moses? f**king prove it. Prove that any of the information apart from Galvins statement has been leaked by him or his team.

Tigers released the statement saying he'd be leaving.
Benji made Galvin stand infront of his team to explain himself.
Luai and Turuva are the idiots that post shit on social media.
Benji, Luai and Api are the ones who wanted Galvin dropped.
Benji, Luai and Api are the ones who had a media press conference.

There's one side here doing all the talking, and it's the side that has never been able to help themselves when it comes to leaking shit to the media.

This is the problem with you Tigpies gimps. You're going off about things you think is or will happen without proof, and don't look at the actual facts and circumstances because you're so blinded by anger because the most promising junior you've had in 10 years wants out.
