If bullying is not talking to someone you think is a dick head then I have been guilty of that lots of times in my life but no one has threatened me with court action.

Absolutely. In the best interest of his health and safety it is better he stays right away from anything to do with the Wests Tigers for the remainder of his contract.

Poor little darling. OOooh, didn't the other players like what you are doing to the club snookums.
Of-course it's fine for you to bad mouth your coach because you are so special.
Yep. If it was any other type of business Galvin would have been fired for misconduct based on the information about Marshall being leaked to the media, for public consumption. The only thing that would get him off the hook is if he wasn't consulted about the move. Of course, that would be a major dereliction of duty by grub and would see him deregistered yet again.

The problem with sports is you don't want to sack a player that is in demand as it gives your competition an advantage.

As far as bullying goes, if the employee is in the workplace (office, training field etc) and is completely ignored by everyone, that does meet the criteria for bullying. You get around that by sending them home on full pay and say they created a toxic workplace, which in our case is completely true.

Does he have to stay away from the club.. And with a reasonable pay packet? That’s hardly a payback for what he’s done… I hope he has to stay at the club..currently nothings been proven
I guess he can take his cnt face off now and trust me he’s got one ..I know cancer tigers they are nasty fkers when they want to be and unreasonable..and put his pathetic poor innocent me face/ voice on for the judge.
Like has been said, let it drag on. A year and a half out of the game..splendid

Tho at the same time I wouldn’t be surprised if the club cuts its ties and moves on to avoid an unnecessary expensive fight with fk all to gain really, except pride.
I wouldn’t worry that little cnt will be trouble wherever he ends up . it’s his temperament. It’s shit and always will be and we will have a front row seat

At this stage it looks as though it's just a threat letter that has been sent to the club. No.legal action has been taken. Much like the hit piece on Benji that was given to the SMH by grub, this is just another attempt to get out of galvins contract without giving us anything in return.

There's so much animosity now towards this little piece of shit Galvin he'll never be able to return to the playing group, under any circumstances. He's just a completely poisonous arsehole. To avoid any further issues over the next year and a half keep him at home and away from the playing group.

But I'm at the point now that I want the club to act spitefully towards him. If grub takes legal action we defend it. I don't even care if we win or lose. I just want Galvin sitting at home and not playing a single game of footy until his contract ends. I'd be willing to die on this hill.

By missing a year and a half of footy at his age, if that didn't f**k his development I don't know what would. It would probably also hurt his future earning potential. At least in the short term.

In a further twist to the Galvin saga, former Tigers gun Bryce Gibbs was of the belief Galvin’s management have only hampered his chances of securing a move.

Gibbs, who played 155 games for the merger club, believes Galvin may hurt his image as a teammate.

“How embarrassing from the management team,” Gibbs wrote on X.

“No player in the comp is going to want to play with him now.”

If you want that to happen, they will release him the next day. Mental Health experts and the RLPA will be all over the fact that he is stuck at home.

If you are going to play the mental health card does that suggest he has a deal from another club in waiting already ? more than likely, as most new employers wouldn't go near you otherwise if its common knowledge you have mental issues.

We've got to do something. If we just release him and get nothing in return it just paints a picture of the club as a doormat and being able to be stood over. This has been the case in the past and its what we're trying to change.

All the issues that are at the forefront now have been engineered by grub, Galvin and his team to break a legally binding contract. He is so hated within the team its impossible for him to come back to it. There's virtually no chance of him owning up to his mistakes, apologising, and rebuilding trust.

If we let him go and let grub get what he wants then we might as well disband the entire club as we'd be nothing more than a feeder club to the rest of the league. We have to stand strong against an insideous agent who through pure spite, is looking to destroy the club.

It's a shame that Galvin has allowed himself to be used this way but he's made his bed. I'm so sick of him being called a kid and defended for these grubby actions. He's a man, albeit a young one. Start acting like one.

And the day after they release him, you just know that he'll make a miraculous recovery and is raring to go for his new club.
I think we owe it to him to get his mental health back over the period of his contract.

His parents are part of his problem, I think.

No they won’t. He just doesn’t play and is paid near $400k.. where’s the stress…and it’s his choice ..Time off work is standard for any adult participating in a workplace discrepancy type court case. It doesn’t mean the prosecution suddenly wins
