I said on another thread, Mason played really.. REALLY well when he had the ball in hand. He has done very well since all the controversy and concentrated on being a footballer.
But I paid attention to him last night, I've noticed he really isn't a big hiiter in defence. In fact I'd go to say the only thing NSW was a lack of big, BIG hitters. The game plan would of won, I mean FFS, it was 4 points, down to a piece of individual magic and Tahu dropping the ball.
Other than that, the back row are the sort of 65+ minutes a game, 35+ tackles workaholics, but never "smack you on your arse" sort of tacklers.
Buderus is too small.
The only hitters are O'Meley, and efforts from Kite (though he is small).
Stevens can too, except he only got 19 minutes.
I'm a big fan of Clinton, though after last night I'm heading towards Skandalis.
I think we need someone to inflict some pain to the Qld forwards.
