well done aussie, shame we couldnt give you more of a run..

I really thought it would be alot closer, bit disappointing really when you look at how the top order got out, very poor discipline and very little footwork.

I reckon Wright should be kicking a few arses this morning, you guys are better than that.

yea, Wright will be spewing. We seem to have made no ground at all since the Pakistan tour.

Its a head thing.

pretty lame from us to be honest

Some blame surely at Wright and Captain Dan's feet... why the f**k would you cite form against Kenya as a reason to play Bennett ahead of Mills? Mills is still one of the world's best ODI bowlers, and wouldn't have dished up the crap that was served to Watson and Haddin... and How at #7 - how defensive is that, again I know he's past his best but surely Oram is a better option?? Even Williamson, How just isn't an international cricketer, shame, but true

The dismissals of B Mac, Guptill, Taylor, Franklin and Styris were pathetic (not sure a sore finger can excuse the pig), and Ryder's was only marginally better... then the bowling was attrocious...

Not sure events at home can be blamed, while they put a game of cricket into perspective, that was just a typically inept performance from selectors, captain and players

The big thing in the batting from the kiwi's was the lack of rotation of strike. Early on the scoring rate was ticking along but it was just boundary and 5 dots alot of the time, need to start looking for the one's and two's, start making the bowlers change up their lines.

Agree - a lot of big shot merchants in the top order, without much in the way of cricketing brains...

McCullum can do both, but not so much the others

Bottom line is, we're just not terribly good at the moment... the sad thing is theer's talent there with McCullum, Guptill, Ryder, Taylorm, Styris and WIlliamson - the sad thing is Taylor looks to have regressed badly and they're thinking of making him captain, Guptill just hasn't played enough first class cricket, and Williamson at the moment is very much a test option
