Yes we won but besides there first 2 tries which came from our mistakes. Every other try came off a dubious penalty. The final proof of the referees trying to docta a win for the broncos was the shouldet charge from Bakuya.

Even when the Broncos came back I wasn't that worried. They are a good team. Our boys sometimes just do what they have to do to get the job done and from the outside it looked like they just had no ball and defended the lead.

We have now beaten 2 of the other 3 teams on 14 points and the teams coming 7th and 8th. Need to put the cleaners through the Knights.

The penalty issue is exacerbated by the fact the Fifita, Ennis and Gallen have reputations. Need to be smart with the niggle.

We rode the momentum well in the first half. There were opportunities to reverse the momentum in the second half but we didn't execute. Gallen and Heigno dropped balls. Barba throwing cut out instead of short. This is the area to address.

Broncos were always going to make a comeback, we needed to change the momentum with a try. Didn't do it and felt the pressure of a tight finish but still got the job done.

Yorstan in for another

Yeah mate absolutely thrilled for the kid. First game back in NYC since snapping his ankle last year. Johnny Morris had him playing for Gymea but was not impressed they had him playing off the bench, lucky to get 15 minutes a game.

Kudos to Johnny on making a big call and it paying off!

I must admit every time the ball went left in that second half I did not even remotely get excited mainly due to the Loots factor knowing nothing would eventuate. Was it just me?

Is he usually a centre mate?
Very stocky fella with a great step, has edge man written all over him.

In fairness to him, there wasn't a lot of opportunity in the second half.

Feki has deadset been exposed under the high ball. The double will do wonders for his confidence but he needs to catch those bombs. Cost us big last week and nearly cost us again...

I know this isn't politically correct but I'd rather Beale in Birds spot.
Bird really cramps up the right side, same as Wade on the left.
Don't shoot me.

I agree. But there isn't really anywhere else you could put him at this stage. The team is killing it. That right side is producing tries at a good rate. Best to leave him there...

Feki did his hamstring, so might not be there next game anyway. Beale to start centre, Gagan on the wing and Loots bench?

The attempt at catching then bomb was horrible and he wanted to be fullback

Yeah I'm glad they saw common sense and decided on Barba instead. Thought I read somewhere that he doesn't even want to be a fullback now... probably now realises he's a long way off!

I dont hink he understands how much more work at fullback, he would need to be talking to players all the time get in position in defence, be there for all kicks, bobbing up in attack.

I think just the talking to his own players wouldnt suit Bird, i remember Manly saying that Ridge was a great fullback in that he was telling players where they should be in defence, you see Barba talking organising, doing the little thinks that ensure we win, i dont think Bird is that type of player i maybe wrong, he seems more the Mundine type of player wanting the glory again hope i am wrong
