Couple of 50/50 calls went out way for the first time in a long time. Thought the Collin’s no try was a try to be fair.

Boys, I like Cameron MacInnes in the run on side. I think he plays much better.

So with that, I would be pushing Finucane up into Prop.

8. Kafusi
9. Brailey
10. Finucane
11. Nikora
12. Wilton
13. MacInnes

14. Hunt
15. Uele
16. Graham
17. Depends on game plan

We really do have wonderful depth in the squad - exciting times ahead.

@Poss I dont think either of those tries were tries. Smiths one was short just because the point of the ball is over the line doesnt make it a try. The last one was closer imo. I agree with DF off the bench too.

Smiths was a try. The side on shot clearly showed the ball breaking the white line of the try line. The Collin’s one we were only saved because the on field ref didn’t have a clear look and sent it up as no try.

Ronnie’s one was probably a try too.

Apart from Collins grounding the pass to him was half a metre forward…..shouldn’t have even been checked. I think the Rorters have taken a leaf out of Souffs ruck play with the number of forward passes they threw last night.

Yes it does.

My issue isn't with the ruling. I just thought it was short at the time. Hard call, even the replays contradicted each other

Really? I thought part of the ball had to touch the line.

It's possible to hvae the point in the air over the line but the ball grounded short of the line.

Agree though that they made a very quick call when I felt it warranted a better look, particularly after seeing the front on angle

I didn't read coolum's post like that but I understand what you're saying.

Nope, yes I know what you're talking about but I base it on the actual footage. Same with the other one.
In the actual footage the ball ends up behind where he placed it. I'm happy to call it a try because there is no definitive evidence it wasn't.

Yeah prior to the refs call of a try. HTF do you suppose the ref saw him skim the line? He didn't, so BOD should always go to the defence. imnsho. No way the ref saw him skim the line it's either a guess or BOD which is wrong and also grinds my gears.

Interesting thought there. When BOD was used it went to the attacker.

Also remember the bunker has more angles than we get shown.

Atkins was in position to see.

The Colins try- it looked to me that he first placed it short of the line but slid it over? Probably double movement-ish

He was definitely short, then there is no conclusive footage.

@Frenzy. I call bullshit on the bunkers various angles to view. If they have them they would show them wouldn't they? There's no big secret, clarity would be beneficial to everyone wouldnt it? I'm sure they see what we see, hence the bunker asking live to see different angles etc.

No they wouldn't & know they don't. Have you seen the bunker? It's like the Starship Enterprise. They can't show all angles due to TV contracts but they definitely have the tech and the staff to look at it

So because you seem to want to keep arguing here are 2 frames with Atkins in position to see and the ball clearly on the line in the second frame. There's a blown up version for you as well
