Hey, have we ever won a game playing in one of those commemorative jerseys? Not the alternate strip but like, the WOL, or what was that horrid thing that we played in at Remondis last year against the Hartley's reserve grade side in round 26 and lost? I feggin cant remember ever ever winning in one. Can we stop wearing them please FFS!
We beat the Cows last year in our indigenous jersey.

As soon as I saw that hideous jumper I thought, this is not good.

I'm all for special occasions but why have such a big change in design?

Those stripes nearly gave me a headache watching.

Why not just have a normal jumper with pink instead of white?

Are we wearing that yellow shocker in our last home game?

No Sweet Caroline at half-time must have faarrkked us up....thought the Rio tribute was faarrkken ordinary. I'm about as interested in the Olympics as I was in the federal election.(Apologies to Quigs)

The past couple of weeks, teams have figured out how to defend our sweep play. If we don't get a quick play the ball it is relatively easy to defend if the opposition centre rushes up. Need to try and mix it up and put a kick in over the top or try something different to have teams second guessing. Defintely need to fix this, otherwise we'll struggle to score points.

Every other time that is a double movement. It was an obvious double movement when it happened live. My Raiders mate even said that won't be a try. Not sure how they had sufficient evidence to over turn it?

Our outside backs got smashed last night. They had no impact at all. Usually we rely on them to get our sets off to a good start, but Canberra knew this and rushed up and belted Feki, Holmes etc whenever they came in looking for the ball.

Need to defuse the high ball. Teams are going to target Beale/Feki every week now. This is a massive worry if they can't get this right.

At the end of the day, if Townsend is ruled onside and we get that try at the start, the game is completely different and we probably win. For the first 15-20 minutes we belted them and looked on top, we just couldn't hang on to the ball. We created opportunities just couldn't finish them off with poor ball handling.

It was obvious we were tired and the short turn around and probably being on top for so long definitely didn't help that. As much as I didn't want to lose, I think it is probably for the best. Will take the spotlight off us for a bit and give us an opportunity to fix some stuff which has been probably sugar coated from winning.

We've never been good front runners & I truly think our best chance is to finish the rounds in 2nd. Stuff the minor premiership.

We have 4 weeks to get our act together & re-build confidence. Onwards & upwards!

Also, it's time to rest an outside back & bring Leutele back in, get him back into form for the semis. He was on fire before he got hurt & we miss his runs off our line.

If anything Raiders are coming into favourite contention, or let them think they are.
They really stuck it to us.
They were tough and we didn't look to concerned or interested. Flanagan I thought summed it up pretty well in the press conference.
The job now for the coach is to knuckle down use the next month to shore it all up.

I was having dinner when the 2nd half was on, rewound it back to the girls before watching the 2nd half.

Good initiative I thought.

I want the Minor Premiership just about as much as the big one if im honest. Spewing peas and corn I ate in the 70's over Souffs losing (rsoles). Anyway I think Melb will get rolled by the Mucus next week and have a dodgy feeling Manly will beat em at Brookie s well. The game against the queens will be vital for us because the Rorters have nothing to lose and could turn it on against us. So could Souufs. I want to have the MP wrapped up before we play the cheaters so both teams can rest some stars.

I reckon someone has got to give Young Humphrey a clip around the ears and tell him that most footballers use both hands to take a pass from the inside player.

Apparently it has worked a treat for over 100 years they tell me.

And on the halftime entertainment (what Mr Fox showed anyway) I think the lovelies were over dressed.

Annnnnd anyone that doesn't enjoy Federal Elections is in the words of Classy Freddie Blassie, the greatest Manager ever, are nothing but pencil necked geese.

So. Humphrey is gunna score me a doodle whacking 11 points on SuperCoach.

I must have missed him being stretchered off at the 11th minute, as he has not appeared on the injury list.

Otherwise, was he camped down at his end, in a banana chair, sipping coffee through Tim Tams?

Speaking of Women in League, I stood up the Southern end Right alongside Allanah Ferguson and crew. Man she is a good looking bird. Made the loss slightly more bearable and she didnt even seem to mind that I spent the whole second half staring at her... quietly choking myself with my own skinny Jeans!
