Same reason Ronnie didn't to go after he was dropped on his melon

Same reason Bennie gave a penalty for a minor ruck infringement, outside the 40, when it should have been a restart.

Same reason Toby got done for a strip he didn't strip

The reason, in a word..........incompetence
Ronnie didn’t need to because he didn’t stay down - Gagai stayed down.

Frenzy.

Great effort tonight. Watched the defence close and the inside was covered all night. Multiple In each tackle and Ponga easily covered. Simply brilliant.

Some bad calls in attack that saved the knights multiple times and some ref calls that probably saved it from being 40 to be honest.

avg 13 ppg in defence. Tigers next.

Nikora has really lifted in that area of his game. Moyza was great with his line speed and herding them back to that inside cover as well.

Vossy let us know at home.

"I didn't call my second release." Second release? Where the fekk did Bennie pull that from?
So it's carte blanche to just slow down a PTB by any means if the imbecile official hasn't yelled release twice? Only in the NRL

3 out of our last 4 halves we’ve kept the opposition to nil and scored 36 points in the process.

Very un shark like but looks like a standard the team expects of itself and we should too now it’s been proven.

I reckon next weeks goal is that duck egg again regardless of how many we score.

Enjoy your weekend boys.

Honestly, next week if we do not put a 40-0 minimum score against the Tigers I will be disappointed.
They need to show that they are a real contender.

Patience gets them the 40 next week against a side absolutely down and out.

2 weeks in a row the score was 0-0 until atleast the 17th minute (26th min tonight).

We went on to score 36 points after that first try last week in the 17th minute.

There is no need to panic in attack, just don’t concede in defence.

There's no panic in the team at all.

When they were behind against Parra, what really impressed me was the team didn't look panicked. They looked comfortable and confident. I've NEVER seen a Sharks team not panic in that situation.

It's like Fitzy's stoicism has really flowed down into how the team plays. Never too high, never too low. Just get the job done.

Essentially, yes. In a standing tackle, the referee is going to call "held" and then followed with "release". It's this absolute rubbish that makes the game bad. "Held" always meant tackle. Funny thing is, if the tackle is on the ground and complete players aren't allowed to move and keep their hands on the ball.

Yes it’s a character change where no player wants to be the one who looks like they don’t care or reacts in a way outside of what the group has agreed.

Gives me confidence as a fan that we won’t beat ourselves like we used too.

1 point around the 60 min mark where knights had a lot of possession. That’s when the old sharks concede one back to 8-6, heads drop and Ponga takes it away from us in the last 10.

Not anymore.

I tell ya what this Cummins bloke hates us doesn't he. Raiders and tonight we were really up against him
I think Ben is just past it and a bit shit all round. No bias or playing favourites, just incompetent.

But I can forgive bad calls on the run in real time. My question is what were the bunker doing? Obstruction on Sifa try, both captains challenges - a bloke got kicked in the nads last weekend and got ordered to get a HIA from the bunker because he got up slow but Gagai stays on after holding his head and carry on until pretty much forcing a stop in play.

Just love how despite shit calls we load up and keep wacking in defense. Make our own luck.

Post game review of the game day thread - pretty mild this week, and rightly so.
Outstanding effort all round and enjoyable evening at the swamp with not a single drop of rain.
Few things.
- Not one to bag the ref but they were abysmal
- Talaki had the crowd roaring - absolute stunning performance. Tigers might offer him a million bucks a year.
- Hynes kicking game was off but didn’t really seem to matter
- the defence is crazy good - never looked like cracking
- beer lines quieter
Get to the game next week - could be. 2016 Sunday game vs the knights.

The wind was f**ked , sounds like you were at the game, that needs to be mentioned in the same sentence of Hynes' kicking and it was his 4th game in the halves at NRL level.

Beer lines were quieter but feel like they need more food on the ET side of the stadium.

Tigers game will be a better test of if the changes they made to the service has helped, should be packed !!!
