Last year, Sharks fans were jizzing into their beer cups when we beat the Warriors who ran near last. This year there’s a whole crew of weak merkins who are ready to jump off a bridge. Wow.

I'm thinking there were 2 main issues that people got aggrieved at

1. Penrith were understrength and had zero lead in games plus players first game back after surgeries
2. The fact that we haven't learnt regarding stupid mistakes, not finding touch, out in full etc

The funny thing is , I read this forum after every game . I don’t know why . Cause it’s filled with comments that make me angry and others I respect . But the rubbish you just posted is the comment that makes me laugh the most . 100% someone who has never had a hit up , 100% never made a tackle , 200% never helped a person in need . Think what you want, I don't really care. But if you must know, some newbie coming in calling people softcocks and going on about jumping off bridges isn't exactly getting anything respectful posted back to them.

I appreciate the thinly veiled offer of sorting me out at football training with a beating but I'll decline, my days of playing rugby league ended quite a few years ago so I started playing soccer. Easier on the body then getting belted taking hit ups and making tackles.

Yeah we did some dumb shit, definitely agree. But I’m just not sure why so many are getting all twisted up about it? We’re going to lose a few games this year, losing by a short margin against the best team ever shouldn’t cause a great fuss.

Am I a “newbie” as you put it? Sure. But having observed this forum for a short while, I assumed the cretins who seem to occupy this space were both slightly more thick-skinned than to be worried about the term softcock, and slightly less akin to a group of teenaged girls worrying about a new person showing up. Like, a fkn internet forum is a place you have to pay your dues or something.

Its cos we are mostly middle aged men who work f**king hard for our families and don’t do too much for ourselves (if anything) and we pin all our emotional reactions to our team winning and when they don’t we vent for a short while. It’s proven to help people get over it and doesn’t last for long. For example I’m fine now, just disappointed.

I think I can help with this to be honest.

It’s proven to help people get over it and doesn’t last for long. For example I’m fine now, just disappointed.

I certainly appreciate the candour. Viewed through that lens, it’s understandable. I’m definitely disappointed, don’t get me wrong, and frustrated about some of the ridiculous choices of a few players. But on balance — it could’ve been a lot worse and I don’t think it’s a dent on what should be lofty aspirations for 2025.
