I might be one of the only ones left. I’m still backing nicho to tear plenty of teams to shreds this year and if we win the gf and 650k trindall is the man of the match and 1M Hynes drops a kick off, I couldn’t give a f**k. I think the combination has it in them. I’ll back Fitzy.

I hope you’re right.
I agree Nicho has it in him, so let’s hope we can see it more regularly, and not just against the lesser lights.

My concern with his contract is not so much the price, but the length.
Another 5 years at 1mio+ just doesn’t look justified at the moment.

As far as DA goes, I think the No.14 should be a horses for courses spot, not guaranteed, I personally would have preferred Tuuks in there on the weekend.

Agreed on all that, except I don’t think DA makes a good 14.
If we’re looking for someone to play the role he does, Hohepa is a better choice IMHO.
Or Dykes when he’s fit for that matter.

DA’s best position is left right out.

AFB - 54 minutes
Kaufusi - 33 minutes
BHU - 27 minutes
Hazo - 31 minutes

Throw these middles in as well
McInnes - 53 minutes
Talakai - 29 minutes

Akko had 13 minutes. Panthers targeted Hazo/AFB for a try in the middle. If we had Tuku on and Kaufusi playing lock for example is that too immobile? I don't know. Guess depends who we play like you said. Wilton and Nikora are going 80. Sifa can cover an injury there. But having Cam, Sif and Akko rotate at 13 doesn't work for me.

I think we have the best bench in the NRL if we can get the minutes right. Sifa needs more. AFB needs to be out there. BHU/Hazo/Kaufusi we need to work out how to rotate. It might take a few weeks. Toby and JC waiting around to get into the 17.

You can have AFB play 60 - 65 mins
Tuuks comes on about 10 from half time plays another 7-10 second half AFB back on.
It's getting the rotation right around Kaufisi and Cam

I’d prefer Talakai starting at 13 and told to go absolute nuts for a short stint, feel Cams hit ups don’t work against fresh middles and would work better from the bench.
Would help keep the ruck tight when AFB comes off.
Talakai can then get splinters as injury cover or a late stint.

Talakai is a massive luxury off the bench and really lifts the intensity when the starters from both teams are off. I hate that he’s only out there for 30 minutes though.

We also don't want to burn AFB out playing him 70 minutes every week, the premiership is becoming more of a gruelling marathon every year, see teams just completely spent by finals time more than ever with the pace of the game.
