Last night showed we need a bigger body starting at lock than McInnes, I love the bloke but doesn’t offer enough in the opening sets. I’d rather him off the bench and play the last 55-60 min of the game.

When does Fitz realise Teig Wilton doesn’t deserve to start games anymore and Talakai does?

The power we had on that left side with Talakai and Iro had the Titans on the back foot all night.

These tweaks to the team can be the difference.

Talakai on the left and Nikora on the right causes defences the most fear.

Run Williams and McInnes through the middle.

And attack the edges of defences like we did last night and this is a way more potent team.

Super proud of that performance.

Listening to the game on the ABC radio down here on the South Coast , what an experience, our defence never gave them a chance. Titans were punished by our defence , dropping the even if they crossed the line. I know we scored a lot of points but jeez our defence was good and tight.
‘The Sharks really hated loosing that Coffs Harbour game , dint they’. Rooann Simms.

Wilton is seen as a future captain.. he may eventually get there, but at the moment Talakai is definitely a lot better option. Wilton just doesn’t provide enough of a threat. No one is scared of him.

Dressing Shed Report:

This is HILARIOUS: We had to wait a full 40 minutes in a waiting room outside the 'inner sanctum' because (after 10 minutes) - "We just need to wait for Dessie to finish his post-match talk with the boys." After 20 minutes - "We're really sorry - Des is still going with his 'post-match talk...' " After 30 minutes - "We're bringing the players to you - Des is still talking to the players..." (Tino and Beau Fermor sheepishly come out and pose with us for photos). 40-minute mark - "Okay, you can go in now."

Anyway, shook hands with Dessie - he was the most calm, quiet, and compassionate guy you could imagine. The highlight of the night - even better than the win - was him meeting my son, Reuben - ruffling his hand through his hair like your favourite Uncle would - and posing for photos. This is the stuff that puts everything in perspective. We also had a few players do the same - which was just so good, considering the fact that they had just been flogged.

All around - an awesome night - Sharks did us proud - we were smiling from kick-off until the end of the night!

Awesome read, Bluey.
Sounds like a great night for you guys, and some moments Reuben will never forget.

Or one if the great one liners in a ordinary Wesley Snipes movie - “Always bet on Black”
Only seen brief match highlights but yeah solid work team.
The team are dead set two face Batman villian, whereas the NRL are just a bloody villian - WTF penalty count.
Keep rollin on sharks

Is there any other kind?

I have always liked Desmond. Bluey to put this into context - our win last night has cost Desmond lots of $$$$ in bonuses which is why he kept them in for 40 minutes! So for Desmond to be so kind after such a financial loss is very special.

With that said, he may take his bonus out of the players wages!

Wilton offers nothing in attack.

Dunno about that.
He hits a hole pretty well and runs a good line as decoy to open it up in the left.

He doesn’t trample people like Sifa, but he plays his role pretty well.

That said, I think there’s a bit of sameness about our edges and having Sifa there provides a point of difference.

Both our edges were on fire last night. Nikora and Sifa really bent the line and also tackled hard. I liked our scramble in D as well. They all slid in unison and reacted very well to what was in front of them. I hope that continues; we might be back in it if it does.

Doesn't scan. Needs 8 syllables in the last line.

e.g

Up up Cronulla
The boys in the blue, white and black.
Up up Cronulla
Check out our big bald ballsack
