Could be Newcastle making us look good but overall we look like a genuine NRL football team today with solid execution in attack and defence. Five tries in the first 40 mins beautiful to see.

The boys need to get their minds back on the job or else it's gonna be a mistakeathon.
Why does Marketo get so much game time.

You think we look good ? We should have 10 tries on the board by now, with 20 to go. Still the same one out running and then a shift / drift to the left and finish going nowhere. Play straight you idiots, it worked in the first half !

We look ok, but if we are fair dinkum about making the 8, we should crack 40-50 points. Newcastle are a woeful team this year.
Lafai is a plank, he has scored 1 but probably blown 2. His ball security is rubbish. There's a strong case to at least give Mann a go at left centre.

Second half was disgraceful. We decided to set up shop for no reason what so ever, we went to Lafai's side every time over the second half and came out successful once while when we went to Aitken's side we picked up 3 tries.

Does the team not realize that we were sitting at -107 points differential before the game? Should have ended with us absolutely destroying them in the second half.

Exactly. That was going to be our chance to improve for and against and I think we proved that will not happen at all. We have about as much motivation to play for as the Eels.

6 tries to 3

Solid first half, good to watch, scrappy second half, frustrating to watch.

Missed opportunity to dent the f/a.

Attack showed some promise.

Good to get the win and go back to back.

Can anyone please explain to me why Lafai is being selected week after week. That bloke is useless in both attack and defence. Please give him a permanent rest.

The attack in the first half was good because Newcastle were poor, when Newcastle got their act together we were shown up for the poorly coached side that we are.

Good win. I was a bit worried about this one as saints have a habit of playing poor teams back into form. Happy to get the 2 points!

Ditto that.
Ps Jeez does our left side need some work or what. Lost that second half 8 vs 12 too many bombed opportunities. Dugan is wasted at fullback imo

Should have been dropped for Mann. Poor Nightie never gets the ball at all let alone in space.

What a lost opportunity.

25 minutes of sparkling football, as good as anything from anybody all year and then it turned to shit.

Benji did all the right things early but couldn't help himself by getting far too involved and being selfish which cost at least 2 tries. If Benji had continued on in the same vein as the first 25 minutes we would have put 50 on them.

Dugan similar catch, draw and pass early in the game and then he became a hog and stifled the attack and butchered a try.

All the play 2nd half down the LHS where Lafai is a plank and no idea how to position himself inside or outside in either attack or defence. This resulted in Widdop crabbing sideways and also killing the attack but noticeably when Widdop did turn up on the RHS it was a much straighter line of attack.

Rein also did well early but like Benji and Dugan thinking it was going to be cricket score started playing for himself instead of the team.

Could have been anything today but should have known better as to how how it would actually turn out.
