Game Day vs always the Berries

Game plan straight up the middle, ball security.
There defence was not tested last week by Parra with Moses injured.
This is a good chance for a crash play try.

We know there attack it's a bomb from Burton, or shovel ball to Kikau and Chricton.

We need to bomb there back 3, there is limited skill there as well.

Defend like the last 60 easy win.

Tooks to score on sharks debut

OK so we have a fired up forward pack, and even with Hunt out a superior looking bench by far. The elephant in the room is that it's the double or nothing game. Sorry in advance you lot.

This really is a game of ‘just do the basics right’.
Basic rugby, kick to the corners and belt em in defence. High completion and good discipline is all it takes and we’ll blow them off the park. We don’t need to be flash, we don’t need to score on every set. Just run hard, tackle hard and don’t be dicks, and we smash em.

I watched with interest the section on NRL 360 the other night where they put the spotlight on him.
All the vision of him on the screen behind the panelists was either put up a bomb or shovel it out.

It got me thinking - is he even capable of a cut-out pass?
I honestly can't remember seeing him do anything more than just shovel it to the guy next to him.
Never commits a defender. Never poses a threat. Just shovels it on unless it's the last. In that case, bombs away!

Terrible five eighth.

Fingers crossed that observation doesn't come back to bite me in the arse later today.
But I'm pretty confident it won't.

There was a comment by Ciraldo saying Burton will be a great 5/8, but later in article learnt to take with grain of salt was he is our 5/8 at moment lol.

I hope we work over Kikau in defence, he is another loves the big plays but won't role sleeves up to do dirty work.

We play smart we win with ease.

All the have is kick after kick after kick and hope and pray when Crichton has the ball

Even though this is Tooks debut for the sharks it is a big game for him.
Comparing him to Hunt they come in same weight and Tools fractionally taller.
Tooks though is 22 and Hunt 28.
Let's say Tools gets 20 minutes, gets through that with no mistakes but a couple of tackle breaks and averages 10 metres a run, that will put pressure on Hunt.
A very good position for the club for this year and going into next, considering we have both signed it gives us that flexibility that say someone comes knocking we could move Hunt on and look for a player in a position we need coverage.
Not saying that will happen, but straight up Tooks has a great chance to impress, and to have another young guy pushing is just what we want.
Lets hope we see the reason Fitz signed him from Roosters.
Love to see him play the role Taga did some big hit ups, and ability to kill some merkin, Taafe running ball back and Tooks cuts him in half

Yeah earlier I was thinking of taking a jacket to the game, crazy weather. Suns out now, slight breeze, few clouds and the washings drying on the line. Happy days and hopefully nights

Don’t think we are going to risk Ronaldo with a 4 prop bench. Hiroti to come onto the wing imo.

TheIr defence made 400 tackles. Parra had something like 29/29 sets completed till they stuffed one up. Only 4 errors. Could only manage 2 tries in half 1 though. Second half was 2 tries each

I don't think they are so bad yet. Especially at Round 2.
