Vossy's verdict...hope he's wrong but he has a good point. Biased as we are in here I think if the passion doesn't return for a full 80 mins........
Sharks v Dragons

Sharks fans … do you want the good news or the bad news first? The good news is, the win here has lifted your side back into the top eight. The bad news is on this performance, they wouldn’t make it past week one of the finals. The Dragons tried hard and probably deserved to have the game go to golden point.

Nail it up in the locker room

Çhad had a go, at a field go, directly in front, 10 metres out, missed it.

But he had a go

Never understand why he doesn't take another 5-10m back and give himself more time to strike it... injury, break, slow play the ball and Dragons had all the time in the world to rush up, knew it was on.

Defender was up in his face, why not stand another 5-10-15 back... surely it's easier to nail it with less pressure and sacrifice a small distance.

And the player in his face was one James Graham. An ageing prop at the 73rd minute of the game.

That to me says a lot about the field goal set up and its execution.

A fharrrkan prop got to him.

The Chad’s favourite play:
Run a backwards diagonal, facing your own try line & pass to a running forward.

Fools the defensive line, every time.

I was going to post something very similar - there were quite a few occasions this week where his first direction was on a backwards diagonal.
That's absolute bullshit play and down to 1 of a 3 things for me;
1 - there was a 'set move' to get it wide, and rather than playing eyes up, he just does whatever the plan was, regardless of the situation he finds in front of him
2 - He genuinely thinks that's a good play
3 - he's lost his bottle to take the line on (maybe carrying a knock, maybe just soft)

Whatever the reason, it's a bullshit play that shows he isn't doing the right thing for the team and smacks of a manufactured halfback rather than a natural footy player.
