Exactly. Running with 'the narrative' means they don't have to think or do any work. Just regurgitate surface level observations.

It's a long journey to build a team from within, and the Sharks are showing good signs. There will be some bumps in the road where the usual types will be able to stick the boot in. Beating top 4 teams is the present criticism. Winning a semi final comes next.

Watching the game over again one thing that really pisses me off is this whole disruptor/escort/challenge in the air bullshit.

First half Iro moves into a position read 'takes up a position early' has no idea where the ball is coming down and gets struck by it. Referee says 'you ran in early' therefore you are contesting it and rules this as played at....Possibly the worst interpretation i've ever seen.

In the second half, Ramien races to give Katoa cover, without deviating his line gets done for an escort. Comment from the ref 'you arrived at the same time, you need to get there early and take up a position'.

If that isn't enough to tell you that this sport and the rules are 100% f**ked and they have absolutely no f**king clue anymore. Nothing is.

'Jumped Early' - if you watch the replay - they both take off at the same time, the only difference is Nikora has momentum rather than a standing leap.

Because he misjudges the flight of the ball and gets it wrong, he gets done for it.

So now you basically CANNOT challenge unless you are sure you will touch the ball (and even then WK got done round 1)

So basically unless you are jumping for the ball inside the 10 and even then a risk, if you get called a disruptor it's a penalty.
It's better then to charge down and smash the player as he catches bombs and foot hits ground.

If you time it wrong penalty exactly like disruptor.

I think this tactic would have the fullback and wingers on edge when the catch the ball, it might as well force someone to run across and obstruct the chaser
