Game Day vs Penrith

Great team effort on a heavy field, good team spirit - we were running on empty that last 10 mins.

Scrambling defence was great near the line - our line speed is still poor, but slightly better than the last few weeks.

I'm calling it now, with that sort of team spirit under Shep, we will avoid the spoon.

Our points for & against are crap - but I reckon we will get past Raiders anyway.

Gutsy effort boys.

Taga had one of his better games also. Heino also carried strong. What about Robbos one on one tackle on Idris. That changed the game. The huge man being owned by the little half broke the Pennies spirit.

There were doubts about the pennies matching the teams in the 8.

Then they met the cellar dwellers.

Sticky deserves the spoon. 2 years in a row. He has earned it.

Geez that was a marginal call ... but the last replay it looked slightly forward.

Taken from SMH:

4:44pm: 75th minute:
Sharks almost in. Wright fell on the ball after it bounced off Gagan as he tried to haul in a Robson bomb, and after endless video replays, the vid ref ruled no try. Knock-on the call.
Panthers 16 Sharks 18

So what's the story did the ball go forward or was it a knock on.

apparently sharks have beaten more top 8 teams then penrith lol

It is funny that all of our wins have been against teams in the top 8. And yes you are correct, Panthers have beaten Bulldogs and Broncos compared to our Panthers x 2, Warriors, Broncos and Roosters.

It is such a shame, this season.

Shows we could have done something without the terrible disruptions and injuries, with a decent coach.

The losses to the other bottom teams, Newcastle and Dragons (and tight loss to Titans in first round and stupid intercepts vs Eels) really hurt us this year.

Fifita ripped it up. Huge metres pleasing to see.

Nu'Brown looked timid. He didn't really do anything wrong but he just didn't make any sort of impact. he needs a licence to kick and to run and the line...

Loved our forwards grubbers... awesome stuff from Fifita and i think Heighington slotted one in as well...

The stagnant flat footed defence line just gives me the shits.... farquhue I hate it.

I was forever yelling at the bloody screen. Move up you bastards.

Anyhow a wins a wins a win.

Anyone see that bit on Mr Fox after the game . They showed poor Jamie ripping off his headgear after Taga scored and a split second later they show a little fat kid on the hill in his pennies gear balling and thumping the ground.

Neat hey.

Cant remember the last time it was our shit goal kicking that kept the game close, should have won more comfortably, shit kicking or tough conditions?

Just watched the first half, not sure why the hate of Gordon, been our best player, led most of our attacking plays and set up at least 2 of our tries. Sure the fumble was bad but was probably a wrong call as it looked to go backwards

Plus over the last 2 years he is our leading try scorer and one of the best kicks in the game, why do people hate him so much?
