Agree to a point txta, Im still not sold on Trindall but yesterday was promising and I’ve never been that thrilled with the Moylan signing and the amount of games he has missed has only strengthened my animosity towards him. But … when Moylan does play he usually improves the team and players around him. From what I have seen I think he an Trindall could work up a nice combo.

Average team that will improve under new coaching - that’s something to look forward to. And hopefully Moylan can be injury free for the majority of the season. Imagine if he had this year.

I can see both sides of the argument around Moylan , i have always liked him as a player , whether he is still the player we recruited is doubtful , he brings energy when on the park and he's a reasonably solid defender , whether he can still be an 80 minute player i'm not sure but i think if his game time is managed properly he is a weapon for us .
Fitz obviously resigned the guy so he must have a plan for him , would make a great 14 IMO , fills a lot of rolls and going forward with Hynes coming to fill one of the halves and Trindall the other and having Moylan there as backup and mentor would be better for us looking to the future .

I don’t want this to be a Moyza vs Metcalf debate, as that’s really unfair to a bloke who has played 1 game. Metcalf is coming along great and I’m excited about him, but he has heaps to learn. Let him soak it up.

But look at the way the broncos held off Moyza, look at the way he straightened the attack, look at the difference it made to our shape and Kennedy in particular in attack.

It’s a real shame it looks like Moyzas body has let him down, he could have really been a great player.

That was a great win yesterday, Broncos threw plenty at us & we weathered the storm.

Next week’s Storm is going to be tougher…
Not really.
If Paps doesn't play.
Or Jerome.
Or Nicho and Harry.
If the Fox is out.
And Kenny Bromwich and the cheese.
If Olam gets rested.
And finucane gets dropped with Welch.
Then we are right in it.

Moylan was solid yesterday but f**k me was nothing special or game breaking. We scored twice when he was on the field one of those was when he was on against 12 in the first half. Couldn’t get us to score against a bottom 2 team with 12 players in the 2nd half. Kicked once. Didn’t take control at all IMO. He played a basic link role well but all those claiming him as the messiah and we only won because of him need to watch it again.
His defence was outstanding all credit to him there.

Why is Hunt not in camp? I know he had a kid but that was a couple of weeks ago. We given him the remainder of the season off?

Respect your opinion mate but sometimes it’s the little things you can’t see that make the difference. MM came on at exactly the right time yesterday, we needed his experience and he delivered.

I will tell you I have not been his biggest fan, he certainly has not given us value for money. But yesterday the timing was right and he helped get us there.

I’m glad you mentioned his defence this was another reason he got us home. Not just his defence specifically but the calmness and confidence he gives to others around him. You could see him non stop talking to his teammates and getting them set.

He may not have had any try assists or line breaks etc, but if he doesn’t play yesterday then we don’t win. Simple as that.

good point, I’ve been wondering the same. I thought he left for a couple of days and was due to return straight after?

This is the most important factor for me.
We all know we need a leader for the young fellas out there and like him or not, Moyza comes on and does exactly that.

Compared to whatever it is that Woods offers as captain or a player.

There was some talk he'd come back.

He left the bubble so he would have had to self isolate for 2 weeks before being able to train.

Probably no point.
