I’m unsure who decides what defensive style is used during play.
The coach would say these guys play a fast attack with lots of short and inside balls. Move up to meet them.
This team likes to play through the middle, play compressed etc.
The tram pressured the storm In the first half and forced errors. the team in the second half stayed and waited allowing the big storm snorkels to roll on through.

Who decides this change? Is it the wade/chad leadership group. Or is it Hannah??

I think all the wrist-slitting is a bit of an overreaction - yes the second half was a blowout, but there were better signs in the first half. Definitely much better than the Dogs game, better attitude. And Melbourne can do that to you when they get on a roll & fatigue kicks in.

First half - no way was Chad's cutoff pass forward to Tracey, that was a try for all money. There's an article on Foxsports about how it was identical to Benji's the night before, which was hailed as genius. Then we gift them 2 tries with diabolical errors from SJ & Chad. The Chad one, I still can't get how you can stuffup an overlap like he did, it was criminal.

The rot in the middle started when Magoo came on - he gives us very little in both A & D, surely he gets dropped next week, he's had enough chances. Jack Williams on the other hand had another good game, he has improved so much from last year.

The second half tries through the middle were obviously very poor. And yes Wilton was exposed at centre a few times, but he's playing out of position - he still looks a promising edge backrower.

Sure Penrith & Souths will shaft us the next 2 weeks - but the Storm loss was less disappointing than the Dogs performance for mine.

The playing group aren’t mentally tough enough. Morris was never going to fix that.
Skill wise, we may not have the class of Melbourne or Penrith, but you can lift yourselves and bring down the opposition with intensity

I have absolutely no doubt this is the case frenz & and support a lot of it.
But the way I see it you can split the group into two.
The young & the old and overpaid.
If you are the former you are playing with fire if you think it's a wise career move to kick stones.
If you are the later you are also playing with fire.
who wants to uproot a family and head to SL with covid or take a basement level paycut?
Both groups have motivation for selling themselves.
This team is capable of making the finals and should be playing finals.
There is no free ride here.
With a bit of luck we knock over 2 maybe 3 top 8 sides this year.
Now we are getting beaten by the bulldogs and lapped by storm.
The area of discernment sits with coaching ability.
While we are affording no excuses.
I'll afford no excuses.
This side should be competing inline with the start of the season and it's not.
A slide down to the nether regions and blaming it on the clean out that needed to occur is not an acceptable excuse.
You don't sell corporate sponsorship on "oh we're having a cleanout this year - free pass".
Anything less than the 8 is a failure and should be treated accordingly.
Start winning games - same standards for all.
