Good episode.

"I will be your champion."

Looks like the bite is where Sandor's infection will come from.

Now that Biter is dead, looks like that scene won't happen where he bites bits off Brienne's face. Which is something I'm glad for. Such a brutal & obscene part of the books.

The Mountain vs Oberyn duel is planning out as I expected and hoped. I still see another twist to come in this story, though.

Also, the two week break can eat a dick. That's just cruel.

That break has happened every year, or most. Always annoys me. I think its because of a holiday in America and they don't want to lose ratings.

Twas another powerful scene with Tyrion and Oberyn. Tyrion's face during the baby story was tough to watch ,he probably thought he was there to torment him before his death, and the knowledge that his sister never once gave him a chance in life would have hurt (despite his distaste for her now). The relief and elation when Oberyn declared he would fight for him was touching. The Dink for another Emmy (or whatever)?

Pfft. Anyone could have done that scene (with enough takes). Anyone who says otherwise hates women.

Jokes aside, that was the best scene of the episode. Going from tears of saddness to hapiness was great to watch.

Though I am a little disappointed not to see Tyrion fight The Mountain himself....

The new mountain looked stupid. A pumped up, obviously steroid riddled behemoth looked completely out of place in a medieval environment. Blood thirsty, torturing pscychopaths are not interested in body building.

Major f**k up by the casting crew.

Chook.

The f**k sort of cheap ass bodybuilders are you looking at? He's a beast, but he definitely does not have a body building physique. At all.

The worst part of the casting is he is young as hell, they didn't even try to match him to the hound. And he's not 8 foot tall.

Well he is a strongman. He looks a bit like the original, Conan Stevens, as well.

It's disappointing how it panned out with The Mountain. Conan Stevens looked perfect but then left to play Bolg in The Hobbit, only to be cut from the film and replaced entirely by a CGI orc.

I really hope The Hound is around and back in the books soon. Possibly the most complex and interesting character. Too good to be gone after the third book.

Well he is still around. So is his horse. Has to be a reason, I expect to see him again. Deserves a shot at redemption.

How do you know that? The only clue we have is the big man at the priory or whatever it was. The priest Brienne came across said the Hound was dead, although most people take that as his Hound identity died and he repented.

I do agree he didn't look the part. The last two Mountains have been better suited to the part, even if they weren't quite as muscular.

Agreed.

They chose to instil 'fear' and 'awe' through physical appearance as opposed to character development.

A poor choice.

True menace stems from personality not size, as evidenced by most great villains in history.

The Mountain has no character development in the books either. You never see him and only hear of his brutality from other characters.

I actually think they've done alright with the Mountain. In the short time they've had they have established he's one to torture prisoners with rats, rape and pillage his way through the land and burn his own younger brother's face off because he was playing with a toy.

Agreed Bjornsson doesn't look the part. He has a baby face.

Only once you see/hear from him in the council meeting before the Battle of the Green Fork, when Robbs troops arrives, & Clegane's scout misses them.

"A man who sees nothing has no use for his eyes, cut them out and give them to your next outrider. Tell him you hope that four eyes might see better than two ... and if not, the man after him will have six."

that has been out for ages. Just because people applaud acting performances on a tv show doesnt mean they dont have their head screwed on right. Im guessing your timing of posting the link is in reference to everyones praise of Dinks performance.

Is praising a performance mindlessly worshipping actors?

Next time Jarryd Hayne has a good game I'd better refrain from saying so. I don't want to be accused of worshipping him.
