Fire up, game day!!!

So what do we consider a good result tonight? Obviously we all want a win but realistically it's a long shot ( I am hopefully but).

I reckon a good result is if we are still in the game with 20 to go and we only lose by 2-3 tries. In addition we don't lose because of stupid errors / low completion rate.

With Warriors on the slide now (Shaun Johnston out for year), there is really only 8th position available with teams 1-7 in form and likely to stay that way.

How well we go in this match will depend a lot on the attitude the Cowboys bring to the game.

We don't need to win this game, but a real competitive showing could give us some great confidence to be able to get over the Titans and the Panthers in the next two weeks.

Without Johnson the Warriors can't make the 8.

The dogs and sharks are also no guarantee, both have been inconsistent of late and were poor yesterday. The dogs also play 3 of the top 4 in the next month and are unlikely to win any of those.

The top 5 is a lock, but I'd say we're one of 8 teams fighting and with a shot of the final 3 places in the 8.

I would have to agree with this, although I'm always excited before an Eels game.
I just have the feeling that a half full beer bottle or two might get chucked at the TV screen tonight.
