This is a good game, Roosters look dangerous at any time but Warriors hanging in tough

ref and bunker in Wahs gear too :p

lol we’re getting a surprising amount of calls.

Couple of really slick passes from Tanah and CHT though which is great to see. We’re also generally playing with a lot of intensity.
It was a weird feeling, refs getting it right. Other than no bin after a warning.

Great stuff, Phil. It's always very flat when we miss the live game. The other guys on here were on big natural highs last night.

Some people are f**ked in the head...
WTF...I bet those are Roosters 'fans', not ours.

There were a few absolute f**kwit Roosters fan sat behind my daughter and I in the South stand. Horrendous language, bagging their own players, it was pathetic. The Warriors fans around them were all class.

Having said the above, Friday night was one of the coolest sporting experiences of my life, and I've been fortunate enough to go to many events through work and play.

My 8 year old daughter was so into it, a lot of the tries were right in front of us in the left hand corner by the South stand, the ground was pumping, shit it was fun. Already loaded up to go again in the future.

I still can't use the like button but you're getting it now. Do you think those Roosters rotters had flown across the ditch to behave like that? If so, it makes it worse.

Being at Mt Smart is my dream but, in lieu of that, I love hearing firsthand accounts of games there.

I dunno mate, yeah I get the feeling they had flown over.

Was funny too, there were 5-6 spare seats next to my daughter and one of the ladies, who had sat there while her sons, I presume, were swearing away, asked me if those seats were spare as her parents were sitting elsewhere and could come and sit there.

I said yeah no stress, but are they Roosters supporters? She said yeah, and I - jokingly - said oh nah not if they're Roosters fans haha. Nah sweet as. Then she crumpled her face up. And they never came 🤣

Now I feel proud I kept them away.

Reminds me of the 08 semi final when Josh Massoud, the grotty cretin, was leaning all over me, cheering for the Roosters, getting all giddy when they were up, then got all sooky and bitter when they lost. Definite schadenfreude when he was exposed as a C years later

The thing that blew me away on Friday night is the amount of people who wear Warriors jerseys and memorabilia. It felt like 8 out of 10 people had a replica jersey on, or a hat, or a hoodie, or all of the above. That was pretty cool.

Forget if I said this but I think it was my first trip back to Mt Smart for a Warriors game since geez, probably 2010 or earlier. Will be far from the last

I'm glad those yobs didn't move into those spare seats. That's a sure fire way to ruin a night. All those jerseys? It's the 23ers, you can tell by the 2023 jerseys! Absolutely everywhere at Warriors games, even here in SYD. Big groups of rowdy, overconfident, young guys with mustaches! And often with their ladies, all dolled up.

Sometimes I want to say to them all, 'did you know what it was like to be - for example - a 99er?' Absolutely dreadful. But here we are, all good, the weather is fine, as they say.

I would've thought 16 years is a long time between games at Mt Smart? (I know you don't live in Auckland).

Cheers. And to Meth and Rich (who PM'd me, I couldn't reply for some reason) I switched to the Duckduckgo browser as the ads were out of control. When I use Mozilla or Chrome, with no ad blocker, I still can't use the like button.

The like button is an important feature, I lack that full sense of engagement without it.
