Would be worth giving him a shot in the halves to see if he can make a go of that before letting him go - in NSW cup at least. He has his flaws as a footballer, but there's also an attacking ability there that many don't have.

I'm happy for Gardner to get another opportunity elsewhere. He was told last year that he wasn't really in the clubs plans and he was all but gone last year, but clubs were holding off because of uncertainty with the ASADA investigation.

He is on a very low contract this year.
